Fred's Heating and Air

My wife and I are extremely happy with Fred's Heating and Air. They are always on time, very easy to work with and always are professional. We love the yearly maintenance program we are on because they remind us when services/repairs are due and will schedule the appointments for you. We would definitely recommend Fred's to anyone looking for heating/air needs.

From initial contact to the completion of the job Fred's was awesome to work with. They answered all of our questions, and gave us options to fit our budget and goals. We didn't feel the pressure that some of the other sales people from other companies placed upon us with Fred's. Their price wasn't the lowest, but the QUALITY of their presentation and work made it well worth it. They made it clear that they were there to solve our problems. Their communication through the entire process was great, and my husband and I felt like they really cared about us as customers. The installation team was very friendly, clean, and answered all of our questions. They were in and out in just over a half day, and other than our new AC, they left no trace that they were there which we appreciated. They even called last week to make sure we were happy with our installation and that everything was running properly. Went very well..service tech was very personable and explained the most cost effective solutions to all our problems. I really appreciated his honesty. Was very quick and did not try to sell us or fix something that did not need to be fixed. Very happy with the experience I had with Fred's.

Fred's came highly recommomended by friends, so I called to ask for service. Explained that we had purchased a home, but the inspector had noted a small gas leak, we needed that fixed and wanted to have the furnace and air conditioner inspected. My experience with the scheduler at Fred's was excellent, she was very friendly and helpful. The technician arrived on time, was very professional, wore covers on his shoes so he wouldn't drag mud/dirt in our house. We explained the leak and the service we wanted. He took great care of us, and explained each time he's completed a task, and let us know the condition of our units. He was very friendly, and offered recommendations on the types of filters to by. I suffer from allergies, and he let me know that certain types of filter actually reduce airflow and make it harder for the unit to run. I would highly recommend Fred's Heating and Airconditioning.

I had been battling with my heat pump since I bought the house in 2011, and had had another local provider out to the house about 5 times over the course of a summer--all to no avail. After seeing a commercial for Fred's, I decided to contact them. They correctly diagnosed the multiple issues with my heat pump, how the system was originally installed, and how a malfunctioning $5 part was causing the vast majority of the mischief (the outside temperature sensor). Ultimately, the heat pump finally kicked the bucket, but I knew Fred's was who I'd call to help. They did a wonderful job and were great to work with.

Fan controller was not working and it may have shorted out, but was under warranty for parts. A new one was $500+ but under warranty there was only a $108 labor charge. IN addition we added motor ECM protector. finished with inspecting the air as well. Ben was very nice, answered all my questions and explained everything for me. The service took a bit since he had to determine what was wrong and then get the part, so traveling for the part is what took some time. Overally very good service, affordable and prompt. Would use them again.

We knew it was time to replace our ancient HVAC system before it died and became an emergency situation. We worked with Melissa. She was very willing to accommodate our budget and time frame. She never pushed us into buying more than what was needed. The estimate she quoted us was honored after over a month, and when we needed to get a lower price she was more than willing to recalculate the numbers for us. She helped us secure some financing, and even fought our case with the bank to try to get a higher line of credit to cover all of the costs. They showed up right on time on the day of service. The original bid had the install as a two day job, but they were able to find a third installer and were done in just around eight hours!

The install was simple and a breeze. The guys installing the unit were very professional, courteous and made sure to protect our floors while coming in and out. They were happy to answer questions during the install and were very personable. As far as the setting up of the initial appointment, I was pleased with the way Marcus handled himself and walked me through the details in plain English. After we made the decision to go with Freds Heating and Air, Marcus and his head technician came back out to make sure we were getting into the correct system. We have been using the unit for 2 weeks now and they will be sending over a technician to double check and make sure the unit is all running properly. I would highly recommend Fred's Heating and Air and would refer them any day of the week. Always make sure that when making a big purchase decision that you are solely basing a decision on price. Hidden fees are real, and Fred's doesn't hide any from you. What they say is what you get.

Due to the cost of replacing two hvac units and a desire to switch to geothermal we contacted five companies for estimates. Melissa came from Freds and from her first visit it was evident that she was head and shoulders above her competition. As she walked through the house and listened to what we wanted and expected she took notes. When we finished the initial visit she looked at us and said, "this is a challenging job and I do not have the expertise to bid it correctly. Would you mind if I bring in experts to consult." We had two more visits from Melissa and a team of professionals. When she presented her bid it stood out from the rest. Nothing was left to guess, no estimates, competitively priced, and addressed issue the other company's had not considered. We then had an issue as we needed to finance part of the cost. Melissa guided us through the process getting us 0% financing and enough loan to make it work. Then the job: we had multiple contractors involved all brought in by Fred's. Each one was highly professional and courteously did an outstanding job. Our favorite technicians were Freds though all of the others were great. Throughout the install there were glitches, as was expected. Everything was handled professionally and there was never an extra charge for any unforseen problems. We are extremely pleased with the final product. Melissa filled out all the paperwork we needed for taxes and lowered electric rate, bonus. We would definitely use Fred's again.

I was thoroughly impressed with Fred's. The technician (David) showed up within 30 minutes of a Sunday morning call to diagnose the problem. Unfortunately, the motor I needed was only available from a supplier that was closed until Monday. However, David kept in touch with me throughout the day as he continued to seek a way to obtain the motor such as paying the supplier an additional fee to open up for us. We finally decided to wait until Monday for the part and they showed back up first thing with it. They only charged one fee for the original service call and aside from the price of the motor, the rate was very reasonable. I should add that the last outfit that serviced the furnace said it needed replacing due to excessive CO levels. However, David tested it and found no such symptom. Fred's does honest work and appeared to be genuinely interested in saving us money by prolonging the life of the furnace. We will continue to use them in the future and we even signed up for their annual service plan.

My wife and I were in the process of buying a house and just had a our home inspection. The furnace did not look like it had been serviced in awhile so our inspection agent asked to have us get it checked. Since we were days from closing we needed it addressed right away. We called Fred's Heating and Air, among other choices, and were surprised at how easy and willing they were to help. A representative came over and tested our system, as well as cleaning up the unit inside and out. After he was done they informed us of what would have been trouble for my wife and I. The furnace had a cracked heat exchange and was most likely filling the house with CO2 when running. We were able to get the furnace fix added to our house contract saving us over a thousand dollars. Their willingness to help for our situation has gained a customer for future needs.

Fred's Heating and Air were prompt, courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and personable. We needed their service immediately and they were there for us on the same day. They gave us an excellent bid to do the work that needed to be accomplished. We will recommend them to any of our clients, coworkers, and friends who have any heating and air conditioning needs.

I was 8 months pregnant and our AC went out...great timing right in the middle of summer! This happened on a Sunday night so we were fully prepared to be miserable without AC for at least a few days before we could get anyone out to fix it. We used Fred's 24-hour emergency service and explained what was going on. To our pleasant surprise, they got a Tech out to our house Monday! The Tech was extremely professional and friendly. He identified our problem, thoroughly explained what the problem was so even I could understand it, and fixed it within an hour. I was amazed how responsive, helpful, and reasonably priced the whole experience was! If we ever have any heating/AC issues again, Fred's is where we'll go. I would recommend Fred's Heating and Air to anyone if you want fast and efficient service without paying an arm and a leg!

They were probably the best company, they just weren't the cheapest. Working with them was fantastic. They came out and did about four walkthroughs. They gave me several options. They sat on the phone and discussed with me the different options. There was just a lot of interaction and communication and responsiveness but I didn't go with them. It was a good price compared to the other ones.

I've always been very happy with them. I found them through a friend years ago. They've just been really good about consulting and getting things right quickly, being on time and I feel that they give personal touch. They always do a good job and they are quick about it.

Great job - replaced two furnaces - worked around venting problem without asking for additional $ - follow up has been strong and highly professional at great price.

Overall was fine; however, required several trips - first technician was less experienced and replaced a sensor without a thorough diagnosis - believe the problem was only the control board. In the end, they followed up multiple times by phone to ensure that the problem was solved and we had heat - which was a nice change from any other HVAC company we have used in the Omaha area. I would definitely use them again, they are prompt and do care about their customers.

It was around 100 degrees out when our a.c. went out. A representative from Fred's came and gave us an estimate that afternoon. Two installers showed up the next day and stayed late to make sure we had cold air before they left.

Woke up this morning with inside temperature of 57 degrees. I could not find the reason for the furnace not to work, so I called Fred's at 8:45. The person answering the phone was polite and asked the right questions. Told me the repair professional would be here this afternoon. They called 1/2 hour prior to arrival. He quickly found the problem, had the part and repaired everything in 45 minutes. Was very pleased with his professionalism and congenial personality. He also did a quick check on the second furnace, which he found to be in excellent working order.

Fred's heating and air was great. The first time we called them they had an estimator out within a day. She was polite and courteous. It was their busy time of the season and they were at our house no later than 48 hours installing a new AC and Heater as they had both went down on me. Customer service was great and I couldn't have asked for anything more. Great job guy's!

I always have a lot of questions about how to increase the efficiency of our furnace and air conditioner, and the technicians from Fred's are very knowledgeable and have good advice that has been very effective. I appreciate that everyone have to interacted with at Fred's is very friendly, knowledgeable, and they always provide quick service. Thank you, Fred's!

Two gentleman showed up on timed. Protected the tile & carpet leading to basement with heavy cover. Work was done in a timely matter. When work was completed they cleaned up and explained what they had done. They were very professional. I would highly recommend Fred's HVAC Services Co.

I have been using them regularly as I am a construction manager. They do great work for me on all of my projects.
