FloorCo

We had FloorCo install a natural oak floor in our living room, hallway and refinish the flooring in our kitchen. White carpet in the family room and hallway had to be removed to be replaced by the oak flooring. A wood floor in the kitchen had to be refinished to match the new oak being laid in the adjoining living room. We received several bids, but chose FloorCo over other companies because while costs varied, owner Stephen Fiscus was particularly knowledgeable helping us decide what was needed to achieve our goals. In contrast to other companies, his bid was particularly detailed, listing every step of the flooring installation process as well as description of all quality materials needed to include type of wood, sealer and stain. I was especially adamant about having old kitchen and family room wood to blend, appearing to be one continuous floor, with a modern satin finish. Of primary importance is the quality of the FloorCo’s work which essentially involved laying new flooring in rooms and hallway having unique intersections and doorways, interlacing new wood with older flooring, then sanding, staining and sealing. Led by Alex Goodoien, the team doing this over several days did an absolutely perfect job. In the evening after it was laid with the team leader we went over the entire floor. Upon detailed inspection it was determined they achieved an exact perfect fit in all the slats and the splicing of the old and new floor. (see picture). James Roxburgh then came in with a team to sand down the old kitchen floor and get the desired color finish to achieve a match of both floors. Here also the results were exceptional. The bottom line is that FloorCo did a notably outstanding job. We found company crew and supervisors friendly, focused on doing a good job for us. We are very pleased delighted with the results. We are so happy with the finished floors—we planned to purchase area rugs, but the floors are too beautiful to cover right now
