Fine Finish Concrete Inc

Never do business with Lee at Fine Finish concrete. He is not a man of his word. I was a three time repeat customer of Lee’s and he has treated me horribly on the latest job he did for me. This was the first instance where there was an issue and his true colors have been revealed. He poured my driveway and ran out of expansion joint during the job and down near the driveway end by the sidewalk, the new concrete cracked across many feet and multiple slabs. It cracked before he had even finished up doing the cut work with the blade. He promised he would come fix it, even notated on my bill he would fix it, but he keeps blowing me off. This has been going on now for 100 weeks. That’s right, 100 weeks MORE THAN A YEAR of him telling me some excuse to buy more time to repair this. It is clear that he is not going to ever fix this major issue with his work that occurred to me. I contacted him 2 weeks ago to let him know I was going to hire another company to fix it & I was going to take him to court & he then promised ( all by text mind you which I am happy to share with anyone that wants to come over & read the string or I can email it to you ) he would be out 2 weeks ago. That deadline passed & then he texted again that he would be out last week… wanna guess? Correct no Lee. I have paid Lee over $30,000 for concrete work over the years, paying fair price for fair work, and this is how I have been treated. Most amazing thing, he knows I have more concrete work that needs done and he blew all the future earnings from that work over this matter. How do you think he will treat you? Especially if you don’t have a job that is $30,000…. I have all the text messages he and I have exchanged for 100 months, including during the job when nothing had gone wrong yet. From him asking me to buy him beer to drink during my job to promising to fix this issue immediately when it occurred & timeframe forward. I have my invoice, which he clearly stated on it he would fix it which is why I paid him in full. I’m also willing to provide this for you to view at your request. DO NOT PAY LEE UNTIL HE HAS COMPLETED THE JOB 100%. I’m sure you, like I, had heard this time & time again but when he is doing a 3rd major of 5 pours you don’t think he is going to blow you off. How wrong I was… I have and am more than happy to share with you all the text strings from Lee’s & my conversations & provide you with the copy of my invoice where he has stated he would fix the crack that occurred due to his lack of use of expansion ( which his employee Brandon warned him was going to crack right before he poured it )…. Lee told Brandon “ it is what it is …. “ I’m glad I had taken the time off work and was around those guys when they worked my job which has allowed me to realize this statement at the time it was made to Lee & then watch it crack like Brandon said it would. Good call Brandon, if you are unaware to date… it cracked just like you said it would. Nice big one! Lee is an embarrassment to people like myself that are people that stand by their work and more importantly their WORD……. Lee did a very good job of replacing our old driveway with a new one twice as wide. He gave an accurate estimate and provided proof of insurance. There were a few challenges with moisture under the old driveway that delayed being able to pour the new driveway. We had a communication issue getting the new date for when he would be able to do the pour but it got resolved after a day or two. The driveway turned out great and he did an excellent job of sloping it down to the street. The driveway looks great and now moves water away from the house and out onto the street. The drop curb was a great suggestion and look far better than its predecessor.
