Excel Window Solutions Inc

Trying to narrow-down the list of vendors for this work wasn't easy. The scores and # of reviews were relatively the same. In this case, I went to a few neighbors for their recommendations. Ultimately, I chose Excel Windows randomly from a group of 3 other vendors. In retrospect, I was d*** lucky and picked the best vendor. Let me explain why. When Excel first visited my home, it was in response to a Home Inspection report. They found 14 windows/sashes that needed replacement. Weeks later, during installation, they found that they involved (and purchased inventory for) 13 windows/sashes. Without hesitation, the team's chief said they'd cover the cost. Moreover, they also found a broken screen (which they weren't responsible for) and offered to replace this -- also at no additional cost. Wow ... how often do you get service like that? Mine isn't a special case. Having spoken w/others since this event, it seems this is how Excel Windows operates. Class act, indeed.

Jay came out and did a fantastic job on the windows. It took around two hours. The glass looks fantastic. However, the screen door was a different matter. He said that he would take the existing screen door back to the shop, clean it up and get back to us with a price. After he left from installing the windows we noticed that he took the dog protectant screens(and didn[t leave a note that he had done this). It took until April 22 to get the screen door back and installed. They did not return any text, email or phone calls. All we wanted to know was what is the status of our screen door. Finally, my wife and I made a road trip to their office. After which, we got it resolved in two days. We believe they are good at installations, but need work on the commo and organizational skills. We would use them again,but would have the work spelled out clearer. If they would have done the work when promised, I would have given them a five star performace.

Easy Breezy! Most importantly Excel's pricing came in under half of what a competitor wanted to charge and with a better quality of window. Once I received all the quotes from competitors I made the call to Excel to schedule the window panes for replacement. They said it would take a week from the order date to come in and we scheduled a date for completion. From the quote, professionalism, to timeliness, to work completed this company is top notch. Thank you Excel!

The bid came in about half of what I expected so they got very good value. They did a wonderful job. They arrived to the minute, when they said they would every time, for the bid and for the installation. They were courteous, professional and did an awesome job. They comforted my husband when his measurements were quarter inch off and they fixed it on the spot and were just cheerful and pleasant and got the job done quickly and professionally.

I had contracted with Excel Windows to replace glass of about a dozen of my windows. I concede the job was difficult because the old glass did not cleanly remove from existing window frames. Breakage of the old glass was therefore a problem from the start. I initiallyn felt sorry for the guys having to do this messy job. But the problem? Glass shards everywhere as they did their job. All over my driveway. All over my basketball court area. Workers thought and quot;no big deal, I'll get to it when I canand quot;. I asked about using a tarp or something to contain the piles of glass on my concrete. and quot;We don't use it; it just gets torn up.and quot; How about cardboard, I said. Same answer. Very poor customer sensitivity. They thought I was making a big deal out of nothing. But it was a big deal - a safety issue just outside my garage. And the caulking job around each window? Jeez, what a joke. Can you spell S - M - E - A - R? The owner of the company was called and he was onsite cleaning my driveway until 9pm that night, only after I threatened legal action in the event one of my kids got cuts on their feet playing basketball. Yes, he cleaned it up in the end with a power washer but I can't help but think how many shards of glass would have been let behind had I not put the pressure on to clean up after themselves. If you don't mind potentially replacing a tire in the driveway of your home because of glass shards or caulking that's done indiscriminately, then proceed with Excel at your peril. But be aware there are other better choices out there. That day they worked on my house was a nightmare. Excel will call this a case of my being a difficult customer. I don't think so. But that's for you to decide as a potential future window replacement customer.

These men were amazing!! The did a terrific job and I am very pleased with everything. I called and they came to give me an estimate very quickly. He even arrived a few minutes early. When he gave me the bid, I was so excited. By repairing the mindows, instead of paying a big name company to replace them, Excel windows saved me over $3,000. I was so excited I told them I wanted to hire them on the spot. They came two weeks later, had both windows fixed in less than an hour. It was wonderful.

The bid was given; once I made a decision to accept the bid, an appointment was made and services were performed. Very responsive company.
