EnviroFresh Duct Cleaning, LLC

I bought a house which I knew had been owned by someone with a lot of pets for a lot of years. I took a piece of ductwork down one day and was disgusted with literally 2" thick pet hair and dust accumulated inside. I knew I wanted to have my ducts cleaned but was very confused about who to use. Calling various duct cleaners, there is a HUGE range in prices ($50-$900 is a big gap). Also, I have seen numerous news stories about scam duct cleaners who either jack up the price after doing the work, don't really clean the ducts but tell you they did or lie about mold and other contaminants then want you to pay for an added service to get rid of them. I was told not to use anyone that also does other cleaning like carpets. I also searched around for reviews of companies that people weren't happy with. I got a quote from another company for $900 and decided that was way too much. In speaking with EnviroFresh, I liked that they were local and was familiar with the old houses in my part of town. They actually told me it wasn't worth my money for one of the extra mold sprays (even though they easily could have lied and sold it to me). They gave me a price over the phone and confirmed that they would not jack up the price on the day of service. I was able to schedule an appointment for about a week away. They say it takes at least a half day to do the work. They brought in their huge HEPA vacuum and went to work right on time. They removed/cleaned each air register and poked holes in the ductwork to loosen debris. It took about 6 hours. The technician told us we had the dirtiest ducts he had ever seen but still did not raise his quoted price. He did not try to sell us on any extra services either. Overall, I'm quite happy with my clean ducts and am satisfied with the price I paid (roughly $400). I would recommend EnviroFresh to anyone needing their ducts cleaned.
