Ryan was prompt to call back and setup estimate. When he arrived to quote repair he didn’t look at pilot at all which was the problem. He suggested that I replace with a new ventless log set without looking at unit. He did look inside fireplace and said chimney needed cleaned and that I needed new covers on roof. He didn’t know I had new caps put on less than a ear ago when did new roof and I had chimney inspected and cleaned when I purchased house. We run log set maybe 2 times a year at most in last 3 years. I started researching online and fixed myself for a $14.00 thermo coupler. I would suggest getting a second opinion. He also said it could be $300-$500 just to replace pilot light...

Ryan was very professional and knowledgeable. He serviced both fireplaces and got them back into great shape. Both work perfectly now!

Ryan did an excellent job. He braced the stack an he is very much of a perfectionist. Very friendly an respectable. The materials he used were top of the line. I know I can depend on this chimney for years to come.

Now when we did the bid's it was warm and by the time we had several companies FINALLY sent us bid's. Everyone is a month out on the work, it's now after Thanksgiving. But Ryan said he could still get it accomplished and of course the warm Thanksgiving turned into a COLD December. But Ryan came and did his thing. He had advised to remove the old style chimney and update it with a more modern stack for the fireplace and another smaller one for the water heater vent. Ryan to myself and my wife is a very self conscience laborer of doing things for the long term and the Right Way! O' he does have a chimney sweep license card. He worked some very long days working till as late as 8:30 pm sometimes with his headlight flashlight. He works at his own speed to make sure it is to his personal satisfaction of the project. We would definitely have Ryan work on other projects, which Chimney's is not just his only profession. It is just after Christmas 2017 and of course Spring will determine any leaks. But I had asked him for pictures and those look really nice on the roof and inside the attic. Thank you Ryan the finished project looks wonderfurl.

I contacted Ryan via Angie’s List stating the issue & received a very quick reply with a phone number. I called the number and left a message. Almost 3 weeks later, I still haven’t had a reply. (And in that time the other company I contacted replied, returned my call, came out & completed service.)

He was very professional and responsive. He did a good job of trying to make sure he cleaned up. He was very careful in making sure that working in the fireplace would not be a big mess. He was right on his time estimates. I would probably use him in the future.

If you want project done fast Ryan is not your guy BUT if you want it done right then call Ryan. He is slow meticulous takes pride in his workmanship and makes sure project is done right and to the customer satisfaction. Ryan knows what he is doing even if he is slow. Will need a little patience in dealing with Ryan just because he takes his time. My fireplace went from an ugly outdated unit to a stunning and beautiful addition to my living room. I highly recommend Custom Authority.

The job ended up being a little more than we had originally expected because there were issues with the wiring on the fireplace. However, the tech was very efficient and professional. Explained what needed to be done and was able to get the job done in a reasonable amount of time. Cleaned up after he was done and the fireplace worked great all winter.

Customs Fireplace Authority knows what they are doing, but were a little flaky. It was around the holidays though so maybe that's why. The man who did the service is friendly, but maybe a little bit too much. I will consider calling him back for another service.

It went great with Custom Fireplace Authority. The guy was really nice, quick, thorough and a good price. The job was great. They were personable and professional.

Ryan was easy to work with and pretty responsive. It took separate days to complete tthe job but he thoroughly explained that before we initiated the contract. Despite the weather and other constraints he met the timeline he provided to me. (who wants to be on the roof at 10 degrees and 30 mph winds!) Ryan explained everything thoroughly and installed a very heave chase cover. In fact he pointed out the original installers never installed storm collar that would have prevented any leakage even with the very FLIMSY chase cover that was installed when the house was built. THe price was less than that I had previously gotten from a different roofer. The fireplace and gas log set look great and the remote purchased with the stytem was an excellent add on. The log set came in really handy during the following cold days! Overall a great job and professionally done. Overall I think a great value. Thanks Ryan

Ryan was very detailed in his cleaning and he did an excellent job. The only thing I downgraded him for is that it took 4 days for him to call me back on my initial message I left him, but once initial contact was made he was very responsive. Also, once the appointment was made he was prompt. I would definitely use him again.

Showed up on time, did a great job fixing our fireplace. Definitely worth what we paid.

The provider gave us an estimate and scheduled a follow up for two weeks out. The material had to be ordered, made and shipped to Omaha. Due to illness the provider was not able to keep the appointment though as soon as he recovered he contacted us to complete the work. Thanks for your work Ryan.

I can not comment on Custom Fireplace Authority because he never showed up. I had called CFA, got a voicemail and left a message. Ryan returned my call the next day and left me a message. I called right back and gave him a date I was available to be home for him to work on our gas fireplace. A week went by before he called back. He asked if we still needed service. I said yes and set an appointment for Saturday. On Saturday he called to say he could not make it and would Tuesday be ok. We agreed to Tuesday and Ryan said he would call when he was on his way and my husband was going to leave work and let him in. He never called. I called him the next day stating we very much wanted our fireplace fixed, we were expecting him Tuesday and to please call back. He never returned our call. So I have been at this for just over 2 weeks and never did receive service. I would have given an F but he was a nice guy on the phone. But his lack of follow up and meeting commitments was terrible.

Ryan did a great job. Phone calls were returned and questions were answered honestly.

We are about to have a new roof installed but wanted this chimney work completed before the roofers arrived. I called Ryan and asked him to start our project despite the blistering heat we were enduring last week. He came! Today he finished up and I am ready for the roofers! Wish all contractors were as accommodating!!! Kudos for Ryan!!

Ryan came out the same day I called to do the evaluation. He was very thorough and gave us a reasonable estimate. He was about 45 minutes late when he came to do the work but we are very pleased with the result. He replaced the control modular to get it working again and then deep cleaned it, touched up paint, rearranged logs and added some glowing embers (which look awesome)! He also insulated the chimney cap top with silicone to hopefully diminish the sound when it rains.

Punctual, great to speak with in person, very knowledgeable.

The technician came out and cleaned and reconditioned the fireplace gas logs , the burner, the igniter and the chimney. He did a very good job, was very knowledgable and on time.
