Description of Work: I paid $1400 dollars for a 20 lb hot water heater replacement that took only one man to install and sat 5 feet inside the back door. There was no extra plumbing and even though I was informed of the cost, I expected that there was good reason. After my choice to accept the proposal and receive the hot water heater, I then researched and found that any standard heater would have sufficed and I was overcharged at least $800.00. I went to BBB and Burton offered a $200.00 refund. No one called to hear my complaint but made the offer by email as a standard reaction. For reasons I don't remember now, I refused the refund and have dropped the issue. It is not a special heater. It was only smaller and not one they carry readily on their truck so it had to be delivered. The whole installation took less than two hours. It was a rip off.

Description of Work: I had Burton out to investigate a backed up sewer drain. I had not used Burton before this incident. My initial concern was that the technician spent a couple minutes looking at the problem and then 30+ minutes out in their vehicle calculating several different plans and costs. When the technician began working on the problem after I chose the lest expensive option, it was determined that then clog was no longer there and that no work needed to be done. At my request the technician and another worker in the area videoed the sewer line. I thought it looked bad but they both said it was fine. They did give me the option of cleaning the line out if I wanted to but there was no pressure. |I would use them again for plumbing issues and even purchase a heating and cooling service plan though them. |My cost of service included additional items that I added and does not reflect the cost of clearing the sewer drain.
