BACKLUND PLUMBING

Blacklund was actually the third firm that was called to accomplish the projects My first call was not answered, the second was to Burton which was a mistake I will not make again, and the last was to Backlund. I had called them on a Friday, and the earliest appointment was for the following Wednesday, so it would have been nice to get this done sooner but was still acceptable. The plumber (Justan) arrived on time was pleasant and professional. He made quick work of removing the old kitchen faucet and installed the new one in short order (under an hour). The toilet was repaired by replacing the fill valve, and the hose bib was replaced in the utility room. He double checked everything for leaks and made sure all was working properly. The work was completed very quickly and efficiently - I would definitely recommend Backlund for plumbing work and plan to use them again if / when needed.

Great! The 2 guys that came were super helpful and courteous. They were supposed to be there around 1pm, but were not there until the end of the work day. After speaking with them, it seemed like the punctuality issue came from a very large emergency job that they were on prior to our appointment.

The plumber was right on time and very courteous. We just had our hard wood floors refinished so I laid down sheets for him to walk over so he didn't have to take his shoes off but he insisted on taking off his shoes. He said if he takes his shoes off at his house he should take them off at mine. Super nice guy. Work was done in 30 minutes less time than was estimated over the phone. And everything was left neat and clean. Great job!

They came to my home several times and charged me over $200 to repair a water heater that eventually had to be replaced. Their technicians assure me, during the repairs, that the water heater did not need to be replaced. I was told I would receive a refund in the mail. When I did not receive the refund, I filed a complaint with the consumer division of the state' s Attorney General. The company did not respond to mediation attempts so I filed and won a small claims court against them.

They arrived on time and were professional and personable. They completed the water heater installation in less than 3 hours. Once installed, they cleaned up then explained the operation of the water heater. They were very skilled.

It turned out to be a very difficult plumbing line to unclog; took hours to do so. The Backlund team did a fantastic job handling the situation at a cost that we so reasonable it was hard to believe. HIGHLY recommend!

It took a couple tries to find the emergency service info (call the number and listen to all options), but after that, they returned the call quickly, came on time, and did a great job for a fair price. Very friendly and professional.

went well, however, they did have to come back two weeks later to do my second main (which i didn't know i had two). If they would've done both at the same time it would have saved me $$.

Sheldon and Kurt were great. We had two 50 gal water heaters, one that was rusting. They removed the bad heater and instead of immediately trying to replace it with a new one, they suggested we wait until we actually needed the new heater or replace it with one 75 gallon heater. I appreciated the honesty and will definitely call them when we need to purchase the new heater or need any other work done. I was glad to see the reviews on Angie's List were spot on! The only reason I marked good on punctuality was they arrived about 30 min late due to picking up supplies. Since I had made the appointment 3 weeks earlier I wasn't sure if we were still on the books.

They showed up on time, got the job done and made sure it wasn't leaking anymore. Only complaint is they wound up having to cut 3 small holes in the wall/ceiling- but it was practically impossible to get to, so I can't fault them for the terrible placement of the stack behind the furnace. The guys that came were very professional and funny.

He unplugged the drain at the time. But a week later basement was flooded again so I guess the job wasn't done completely.

Was told someone would show up between 8&9 on Wednesday, two men showed up at 9:20. Not sure what they even did, because we didnt want to supervise them doing their job. They left food wrappers and sewage on our basement floor. They left around 1:30 and said they would be back between 3 &5 with different equipment. My husband had to leave, so I had to leave my job early to be home by 3. A totally different plumber showed up around 5:20. He mentioned he had to come from a town very far away because that's where he was working that day. That's completely okay, but a phone call saying after 5 would have been nice, so I didn't have to take off work for no reason. He cleaned the pipes and apologized for the previous workers leaving a mess and cleaned it up for them. The toilet has stopped bubbling, but the basement is still leaking. He said he forgot a locator and would be back Friday around 5 to find the problem. He never showed or called. He seemed like a very nice person just trying to make a living like the rest of us. But I am very disappointed with the punctuality and lack of communication from this company, and the fact that the job was not completed. Will be calling another company from now on.

I initially hired them to install a new water heater and was very happy with the work. They didn't try to up sell me on some warranty and were competitive in price. The guy that came over was very professional and friendly and did a great job. A few months later I called them to fix a leaking shower and again the man that came over was very friendly, told me what was wrong and what needed to be fixed in the future. Shower works great now. This is the only company I will use now.

BACKLUND PLUMBING service turned out good. Nothing stood out about their service either good or bad. I don't think there's anything they could have done to make the experience better. I don't know, I really have no comparisons for the price, really. I think so, I would use them again in the future.

Worked swiftly and cognizant of home. Cleaned up any mess (which seems to be fairly rare these days).

The old heater was still working, but was showing signs that it was about to fail. The next available appointment was a week out, but the office said to call if any problems occurred before the meeting and they would make arrangements to change the schedule. There were no problems, so the service repair man arrived promptly at the scheduled time and made the repairs in about 4 hours. He did a great job of cleaning up and the heater works great.

Awesome. We had a quote from another company for just the toilet and replace 2 outside faucets and compared to the same service from Backlund the other company was $200 higher! The repairman from Backlund was very nice and very efficient. They charge for parts and the labor is just how long it takes vs a quote per service all-inclusive, which with the other company was a lot more expensive. We have used several plumbing companies in Omaha and Backlund is the one that we will always use from now on. We recommend them highly.

The guys showed up earlier than expected, and I was glad they did, because it ended up being a 4hr job. It did not go as expected, which I was afraid of. We ended up having to cut into the tile to replace the the entire shower / faucet mechanism. Turned it from a two handle, into a one handle. But they did a great job.

Our experience with them was awesome.

Did not complete his work (unclog the drain). Recommended that I remove the cleanout plug which allows gas from the sewer to seep into the home and can cause sickness and exacerbate respiratory illness. When I challenged him saying that removing the plug has health ramifications, he told me it would be $300 - $400 to unclog the drain. If I had not known the consequences of removing the cleanout plug, there is a good chance I would have followed his professional advice. I'm concerned Backlund's plumbers have been giving this advice to other families and wanted to raise awareness that this is not an acceptable plumbing practice.

It went great. Quick, efficient, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Great company to choose.
