BACKLUND PLUMBING

Overall it was great experience. The plumber showed up right on time and was very friendly. When he entered the house he made to sure to put covers on over his boots as to not scratch the floors or track anything into the house. He was very quick with the repairs and did made some adjustments to things that I didn't even make him aware of. I had him repair a repair I made myself and he just needed to cut the pipe and add an new adapter to the end of it. A pretty simple job I am sure. The total cost seemed a little high, but in the end the piece of mind to know it is done right is worth it.

They scheduled my in quickly and arrived promptly. Their pricing was a good value for the services provided. They explained the procedures clearly, answered all questions, and provided advice so that problem did not reoccur. They thoroughly cleaned the area upon completion of the job.

Replaced a release valve on a water heater.

I really wanted this to be a good experience so that I would have the "go to" plumbing company use when needed. I've never used this company before but I expected good things from the A rating on this site. Unfortunately that's not the case. The plumber was not very professional as far as coming into someone's home. First impression, he did not ask if it was okay to walk across the carpet with his work boots on (rainy/wet day). He took personal phone calls in our bedroom while doing the job. There was a strong smell of smoke on him as he entered the house. Most importantly, he left a large puddle of water on the bathroom floor. Also, in the basement, he must of let a pipe leak out because the concrete basement floor was very very wet and we had to put a fan and a space heater in the area to dry up the water, which took hours! With all the water that was spilled on the floors in the two rooms, he never offered to clean it up. With the basement water spill he said "You might want to put a fan on that" and when asked about the bathroom water spill he said "Oh yeah, I did that, I forgot to clean it up." I don't know enough about plumbing to know if he did a good job or not, but the professionalism was lacking.

The plumber, Lee, called before he was to arrive and actually called earlier than the appointment time, which was nice. He looked over the situation and immediately determined the problem was the indoor water meter. He contacted the water company and arranged with the meter technician to come and fix or replace the meter. Lee was very friendly and we chatted while we waited for the meter technician to arrive. Lee showed the meter technician the situation, which led to getting the meter replaced. All this was done in less than two hours and the problem was resolved. Couldn't have asked for a better outcome.

It went great. Lee was right on time and I showed him what needed to be done and he got right to work. I thought the utility sinks faucet would have to be replaced but he just replaced two of the 'screw heads' my term not his but a major savings having not to use the new faucet. He replaced two of the flappers in two of the bathrooms. He also replaced two bathroom faucets, one the piping was more than half way clogged with all kinds of debris, he cleaned all of that out and the drain pipe should flow a lot faster now. He was very professional but very personal at the same time, I could tell he really enjoys his work. I definitely will calling Backlund plumbing back the next time I need a plumber because this company has met all my expectations when it comes to customer service and knowledge of their trade.

These guys are the best (and I've used other companies too, but Backlund has proven time and time again to be the best). We have been using them for 15+ years--Lee is my go-to plumber. There's no comparison. Backlund gets it done well and I know it's plumbed to last. Most excellent.

Backlund Plumbing was excellent. The estimate of repair and cost were as stated and work was completed quickly and in a timely manner. Very easy to work with and schedule appointments. Definitely a good experience and highly recommend.

We had a leak under our shower causing damage to the ceiling in the area below. We had a different plumber come out who said it was a big job and he'd have to come back and cut into the ceiling to find it. He never came back and never returned my calls (don't worry, I reviewed him too). So we found Backlund through Angie's List and had this plumber come out. First thing he did was remove the front of the tub. It's a whirlpool tub, so it easily comes off with a couple of screws...no cutting any ceilings. He located the problem right away and corrected it, left me caulk in case it needed to be redone, and even showed me the correct way to caulk...turns out I've been doing it wrong all these years. AND when I mentioned that the whirlpool tub didn't work due to a broken switch, he fixed that too. We will for sure keep this number for any further plumbing issues.

I know they've got very good reviews on Angie's List. In fact, we contracted with them because of their reputation on Angie's List so I would just be adding something to the already stellar reviews. They were very knowledgeable and very tidy. The only thing I could call them on is that the job didn't get completed until we brought to their attention that they haven't yet installed the concrete so they dropped the ball a little bit at the end. They deserve the reputation they have.

Arrived on time ( giving an "on the way" call before arriving). Promptly repaired both toilets and found the cause of the leak (required work in another area-not plumbing). Presented us with the bill (giving us a 20% as an Angie's list member) and we were all on our way!

Called and came out on a Saturday, replaced our pilot light assembly. Very knowledgeable and courteous.

The plumber was professional, friendly, and honest. I put the phone number on my speed dial to use for future plumbing problems.

It went well. A guy named Scott came out and he's very personable and very professional. For the most part, it went well but it was wreck wet for about a week and then I went downstairs and it continues to try to pump water out and it seems to go consistently so I had to call them back to make another appointment to come in and fix the problem. But as far as from being professional and doing it well, they were good and maybe they'll come back and fix the problem that I'm having. They're very prompt. He told me what time he was going to be at my house. It was actually early. He already finished pretty early so he called me up and asked if I can come over. We came over and he actually fixed the problem rather quickly. He let me know first hand how much they charge per hour and I don't feel like he was taking longer than he needed. He did it in a quick amount of time. The work isn't over quite yet. I just want to make sure that they're just going to come back, fix the problem and not charge me anymore.

Had a toilet in the basement bubbling when draining water from upstairs kitchen sink and the floor drain was filling up and overflowing. Snaked the toilet ourself to see if that would fix the problem, which it didn't. Was going to select another plumbing company who were advertising on TV "any drain cleared for $99". Read some reviews online about that company, which were negative, so decided not to call them. Got on Angie's List to see who else I could select and found Backlund Plumbing with a lot of great reviews, so called them. Alfredo came out and cleared my drain and chatted with me the whole time. I told him I had another company who installed my water heater but wasn't sure I got a fair price as my brother is a plumber in Lincoln and he charges less, but it's not a union city like Omaha. He said "that's not what I do, but what you paid sounds fair". I was very happy with the job he did. He was quick, cleaned up the mess it made, made a suggestion the next time this might happen again, and very friendly. I love friendly techs who will chat with me while they are working. Backlund is now my "go to" plumbing company going forward. I have an upcoming bathroom remodel project and want to make a change to my showerhead height so I will be calling them for their plumbing services.

I called them on a Tuesday morning, I told them we needed a leaking faucet fixed. I was told they could have someone out there within a half hour. Eric arrived about 25 minutes later. He was professional and personable. He fixed the fix that Aksarben had done a year earlier which really made the situation worse. It was refreshing to find a plumber who you can trust. Eric was terrific and we will ask for him again when we call Backlund Plumbing in the future.

They worked on one of my rental for me. Contact the tenant directly, even provided free translation services. I didn't have to worry a thing other than paying the bill : )

It was good. They were fast to get to our house, arrived on time and did the work quickly. He was professional and polite. All was great. Would use them again for sure.

The tech was a great guy! He even called to ask is he could be early. I would highly recommend and definitely know who we will call for pluming issues. .

We used Backlund's after hour service and Eric called before coming, as promised. He is a pro and very nice to deal with (our great dane liked him too :) ). Determined the problem immediately and got it fixed. The price was reasonable too which we greatly appreciated. It was nice to find a company that could quickly send out someone to repair our home that we not only felt comfortable with, but knew they were an expert in the field. Thank you! I had an amazing experience with this company! I was quoted $300.00 to repair my outside spigot which cracked during the last freeze. The plumber, Scott Mitchell, arrived on time, was professional and friendly. It took all of five minutes for him to assess the damage and commence repairs. He completed the job in less than 45 minutes and then took the time, at my request, to walk through the rest of my house to look for other damage. Total cost out the door: $130.00 dollars...a $170.00 cheaper than quoted. That never happens. I will use this company for all my plumbing needs.
