AGR Roofing & Construction

I felt strongly enough to take the time to present my case to the public in hopes make aware of my struggles dealing with AGR in hopes they don't become yours. It started when AGR notified us that we possibly might be victims of a hail storm, and after inspection we determined that was in fact the case. As a Contractor myself I typically don't like other Contractors dealing directly with my insurance as they can become unethical, and so I prefer to deal with insurance directly myself. I had AGR bid the job as well as my normal crew I use on my other jobs. AGR came in substantially higher obviously, and after talking with them they where willing to do the job a few thousand dollars higher than my crew. Considering they where the ones that made us aware of the damage I felt it was fair to give them the job even though it was higher than what I could do it for. Following completion the final invoice was sent to me and I paid it in full, only to receive a SECOND "final invoice" several weeks later for more money after they harassed my insurance agent for additional funds. Long story short, I refused to pay them even though it was a small amount because that was not what we agreed on, and later on I found they placed a lien on the property. At this point we are preparing to file a lawsuit to vacate the lien, but figured I would take the time to warn others of how we where treated, even after I tried to do the right thing and gave them the job in the first place. In my personal opinion they have good people working for them within the organization, but the company ownership/management operates in bath faith, lacks good morals, and is unethical. I am aware there are two sides to every story, but for what its worth this is mine.

AGR Roofing, Bryan Brown, and Jason Wilson recommended their subcontractor to install gutters and siding on my house. The subcontractor, Hi-Grade Exteriors, did a horrible job installing the gutters and walked off the job saying I didn't have a warranty. I had to have the gutters replaced after 6 months because the gutters were unrepairable. I called AGR and told them about the problems and they said they were not responsible. This tells me that Bryan Brown and Jason Wilson have no integrity and if you hire them for a project they will not stand by their warranty. Do not hire AGR! Their word is garbage!

It went perfect, we had no problem. I thought they did an excellent job and got it done very quickly. Zach Hart who worked for AGR made everything run very smoothly due to good communication.

It went very well. The work was done promptly and results were superb. Zach Hart managed scheduled and oversaw all the work. He was highly beneficial as our contact with the insurance company. We never dreamed we would get so much done. We have been thrilled.

AGR is the company that we decided to use after a huge storm blew through and destroyed our roof, gutters, and siding. Zach came out with the insurance adjustor and made sure to point out every little detail that needed to be addressed. Zach took tons of pictures for proof, all while stating it was some of the worst damage he had ever seen and no one would believe him without the pictures. They worked with insurance to make sure everything was noted and in the claim as needed. The work began almost immediately, while the other houses around us were still waiting for insurance to start. Our new roof was installed only a couple weeks later and looks amazing! We had a black roof installed, and they even went above and beyond and painted our vent pipes black to make sure nothing looked "out of place". And that is one of the many things I would have never thought about. Zach came out each time the crew was here (2.5 hour drive) to make sure they were handling everything with care and doing exactly as Zach and I had discussed. One of the best parts of the roof replacement was how clean the crew left my house. They did 2 sweeps to make sure everything was picked up. Now, of course, nothing is 100%, but I would say they went above and beyond to ensure they got everything they physically could. After that, was the siding; Zach told me it would more than likely be a few weeks to order materials, and the next day, a delivery truck was here. When inspecting the material, we noticed it was the wrong color and sent pictures to Zach. He said he would take care of it, and he did. The crew arrived a week later and Zach brought all the right colors with him and took the wrong back with him. The siding took a few days to install, which is normal, but the crew was here sun up to sun down. Trying their hardest to make everything look perfect. They were not shy about asking a question or two to make sure it was the way we wanted. Not just throw it up and call it good. Very impressed with that. They were also very good at cleaning up after themselves, and it is a very messy job and has a lot of little cuts and such along the way. They even put siding boxes around all hose bibs, lights, and outlets. Not something that is required, or that I had before, but something Zach called "his standard". Just the little things that make it a great experience. When the siding crew told Zach that they did not install windows, Zach didn't bat an eye, and jumped in and installed the window himself. Not something he had to do, he could have called the office and scheduled someone to come out later, but decided it best to get it done then and there. The gutter crew came on a Saturday around 9 am, and were gone before noon. It was amazing how fast they were able to do everything and make it looks amazing! The house looks like a brand new house from the outside. It looks 10 times better than I could have ever imagined. We have had many compliments on the new look and are very happy!

Only the roof and gutters were done but nothing else. The roof was completed about July 22. I had to fight to get the gutters done about a month later. I inquired several times about the how long it was taking them to get the other work done. They said they had been busy working on other properties but could get the work done but they didn't. I waited about two months then finally just gave up. I'm now looking for another contractor to do the work they promised to do.

Ryan and Brian were so professional and on time with everything. Their communication with my insurance company was flawless and they made everything easy for me. I never had to hunt them down. The roofers were a day early and ripped off 2 layers and replaced 15 sheets of plywood while finishing the entire roof and flashing in one 12 hr day. What a crew. We helped them clean up and magnet nails since they were so proficient and polite. We gave them cups of ice and got them Gatorade because they were such hard workers. The gutter crew has the gutters ripped off and replaced within an hour. They gave us all the old aluminum gutters and we cashed it in for $65. The fascia took a few days but the end result was amazing and Brian came out himself to check everything and to caulk around all the windows. I have never experienced a better company or workers. I would recommend AGR roofing to anyone.

Danny Flanagan is a very personable man who knows his business. He got me an excellent insurance amount for the new roof, and he selected quality products to do the job. He ordered new skylights that look great installed. My gutters are good, and my deck is nicely stained. I had to wait for that to be done, but the guys were all pleasant and did the extra few things I needed like fixing a broken light bulb and painting around the skylights. My roof never looked so good. I would recommend this company to others. The guys cleaned up after the roofing was done and they paid for a damaged bush to be replaced.
