They were called on Wednesday and said they would deliver container on Friday. When we did not hear from them in the morning we called to see when the dumpster would be delivered and was told between 1 and 2 PM. As of 6PM we have not heard from them.

It went perfect, again. I called on Wednesday and they delivered the container on Friday. I had asked about what kind of things I could throw in the container: old microwave, some old posts I ripped out of the ground that had the concrete footings still attached, some drywall I had removed, old carpeting (I spent all winter filling my garage with remnants of projects I was working on ;), old TV. The gal said yes to everything, but warned me the max weight was either 2K lbs or 2 tons (I don't remember) and if I went over it would cost another ~$13.50/ton over. I called on the following Thursday to see if I could keep it over the weekend, but she said they couldn't even schedule the pickup until Monday (you are supposed to call 48hrs in advance to schedule the pickup and I procrastinated). So, I got a few extra days for free :) I was there this time when the driver dropped it off. Nice guy and put the dumpster exactly where I wanted. This is my second time using these folks and I'll keep using them (lots of projects still on the list). Note: the gal mentioned the usual stuff NOT to put in the dumpster, like old paint cans (she said leave them open and let them dry out). I really appreciated the forward thinking. I had several old cans left by the previous owner and I'll just take those to the recycling place in town. I was 900lbs over weight and it cost me an extra $13.50. Totally worth it!

We called for the pickup and they were there within 24 hours. The entire process went very smoothly and was reasonably priced. I would definitely use A-1 again.

They left my driveway as clean as they found it and the gentleman was very personable.

A-1 provided A-1 service all the way. Would use again and recommend to anyone needing this type of service.

A-1 delivered the dumpster on time and picked it the following day after only a few hours notice as it fit their schedule. How lucky for me I didn't have the dumpster left on the property for a 3 day weekend! I would recommend them highly and will use them again should the need arise.

I had just moved in to a home that had a 16'x17' deck that was in very bad shape. I decided to take it down myself and needed a dumpster. I did the work over the long 4th of July weekend (2013 - 4th was on a Thursday), however I waited until the Tuesday before to pick a company. I had called another place I found on AL, but they couldn't deliver until Friday (they were $5 less expensive). I called these guys and they were happy to deliver on Wednesday so I picked them. First dumpster arrived on Wednesday while I was at work and the driver (I never saw them) put the dumpster exactly where I had requested over the phone. I was very impressed with the positioning down a narrow drive that runs along the side of the house to the back yard. I filled that one in two days and soon realized I would need another. I called on Saturday morn, but they were apparently closed for the 4th weekend so I had to wait until Monday to get the second dumpster. When I got home on Monday, they had removed the first and positioned the second one in exactly the same spot. I left a message on the following Sunday to have them pick up that second dumpster. Unfortunately it took three days for them to pick up that second dumpster -- I had to call again on Wednesday evening and it was picked up on Thursday while I was at work. I would have given them a B for punctuality, but because they were able to deliver the very next day, and the very quick turn-around of the two dumpsters, I kept them at an A -- those were the important things. Having a full dumpster sitting in my driveway for an extra day wasn't a huge deal. Tips: 1) the first dumpster didn't have a gate I could open on my own but the second dumpster did. If this is important to you, you may want to request it. 2) the 8 CF dumpster wasn't big enough even though I had told them the dimensions and details of the deck. Had I gotten a larger dumpster to begin with I could have saved some money and time. I did use a Sawzall and had to throw some chunks in to the dumpster, but I still used at least half of the second dumpster. 3) you get the dumpster for 7 days.

I did some price comparisons, calling A-1 and 3 others. Most were similarly priced, but there was a coupon in the Yellow Pages for A-1 that gave them the advantage, so I picked them. I arranged for the dumpster to be delivered at 8:00 a.m. on a Tuesday, and they were right on time. I was pleased to see that it was a sturdy metal dumpster and that it was clean (as clean as these things can be). The driver put the dumpster exactly where I wanted it in the driveway, had me pay up front, and I had 7 days to fill 'er up. I arranged for pick up "first thing" the next Tuesday, and again, A-1 was right on time. The guy who picked up the dumpster covered it and hauled it away with no muss, no fuss. Both drivers were friendly and professional. The equipment was in good shape. (Bonus points for the trucks not leaving oil spots on the driveway!) And I should also mention the office folks I talked with were friendly and accommodating. All in all, a A+ experience. Highly recommended.

They dropped off an 8 foot dumpster on very short notice (4th of July weekend). The truck showed up right when they said it would. I kept the dumpster for a week, filled it up, they came and took it next day after I called them for pick-up. I've used them twice before with larger containers and they've always been on-time and professional.
