This contractor refused to finish the house after it was framed, roofed with windows installed and plumbing and electrical roughed. Also, all the apliances and lights and faucets were bought. We orginionally contracted this person to build a custom home in May 2013 when my family and I were moving 2 1/2 hours away to North Platte. The purchase agreement had a close date of 9/3/2013. Prior to signing the purchase agreement we were given brochures with the brand and type of kitchen cabinets he liked using. We picked ou the kitchen design with cabinets in June. In August, he called to inform us that the house would be delayed. Then that week we received kitchen cabinet samples in the mail. They were a different brand, type and color than what we had chose. When we called to ask about the change in cabinets, he said we had to go with those now. He never informed us of the change, execept mailing us samples. This was a custom home and everything we chose so this was very frustrating to have him change brands right befor the house was suppose to be finished. He did not appear to care at all. Then one week later, he refused to finish the house. He stopped building and would not finish it for us. Even thought we had a signed legal document showing the contractual agreement between us and him for the product, he would not finish the house. We signed a release agreement in 9/2013 and walked away from a house we designed that was half built. We were homeless with 2 weeks before we were supposed to move a family with children. We ended up renting a very small house. On 10/17/13 the house was listed for sale for almost $30,000 more than what we were contracted to buy it for. We are urging people to not use this contractor for any building/remodeling/resoration. He will promise you a house, but will not deliver.
