The quality of the work was good but the reliability was shaky. They would sometimes say that they would be here and they weren't. I would call and they wouldn't know where they workman was. The estimate was inaccurate. There was a communication problem between the guy who did the work and they guy who gave the estimate. When they sent me the final bill it was more than a thousand dollars above the estimate so I went to war with them. I was unhappy. I had budgeted carefully and I didn't change anything since the estimate. I wasn't going to pay. I went down to talk to the owner and the guy who did the estimate. Initially I talked to the project manager who was not really going to co-operate with me. Then I told him I am going to talk to the owner. I told him I am not going to pay and that I am going to court. I am a single woman. I budgeted carefully and I didn't change anything. I talked to the franchisee owner and told him what my problem was. We did come to an agreement and it took only one meeting. I was very satisfied at the end because they did lower the price. They were horrified at what had happened. I think the guy that was doing the work bought some material that was outside the estimate. He didn't tell me and he didn't tell them. He finally submitted the bills. There was communication problem and it was a serious internal communication problem that I wasn't going to pay for. I was satisfied in the end. The quality of the work was wonderful. In-fact, I did use them after that. When I bought furniture to go into the remodeled basement there was a piece of furniture that wouldn't fit. I called them on a Saturday and I told them I have a couch that wouldn't go downstairs. I need somebody to come down here and take out 2 steps. They did that and they don't usually work on a Saturday. I think they are pretty pricey. They did a really good job the last time. They charged me $1000 to take those steps out and to put them back in. They kind of got even with me.
