WOOD FLOORS R US

I was very impressed with the entire crew. They were punctual. They were professional. They did what they said they would do. I would definitely hire them again. I was especially impressed with the lead guy, Ryan. I think they did an outstanding job and I would definitely hire them again!

They came over and showed me all the pictures that I needed to see my floor. They are good. Overall, I am grading them an A, and will use them in the future.

They did a great job and we loved them.

The only thing good about our experience with WOOD FLOORS R US was at the beginning when they came out to look at our project and then give us a bid which was all done in a timely manner and was reasonable.But then it was all downhill after that. Once we accepted their bid they never acknowledged receiving it so I had to call and confirm and then ask when they could schedule us in at which time the said Aug 3 and 4. When that week arrived I called to make sure we were on track for those days since we were going to have professional movers move our kitchen appliances and other large items to our garage. At that time we were told that they wouldn't be able to start the project until Aug 4 because of an illness as I recall. Aug 4 came and went while we were trying to contact them to see why they hadn't started the project. Finally, after numerous calls, they finally called back to inform us that they would not be able to start for another week on Aug 11 due to some deaths in the family this time, as I recall. We were quite frustrated to say the least. We initially agreed to this timetable to make sure we had someone on line but immediately started looking for someone who could do it sooner which we were able to find in one day. Our general complaint relates to their complete lack of professionalism. They don't do what they say they are going to do and so you can't really trust them. Common courtesy and smart business practice also requires the return of phone calls which they often didn't do. We had to keep calling in the hopes of catching them which we finally did. We also had several questions for Steve, the owner who prepared the estimate, but would never return phone calls either. All in all a very frustrating experience.

Wood Floors R Us was scheduled to come to our home to give us an estimate on repairing our hardwood floors - the scheduled time came and went and no one showed up or called to say they were running late or had to reschedule. I called the next day and was informed that Steve (the owner who does the estimates) was too busy to make the appointment. I was then rescheduled for the following week. He arrived early for this appt and we discussed the 4 projects to be completed; he gave advice on how to complete the projects, encouraged us to do 2 of them ourselves and said he'd get back to me with an estimate. When we talked again to get the estimate I said we were interested in him doing all 4 projects and he gave us an estimate of $400. We agreed that was a reasonable price for the projects and were scheduled to have the work done; since our home was vacant at the time he said his employees would call when they arrived at the house on that day. When his employee arrived, other contractors were already at work that day so the house was open and he completed 2 of the jobs we had scheduled (the floor was properly secured but the transition was cut in the wrong place because he didn't call to confirm the location when he got to the house). Soon after we received a bill that stated "Fix warped floor - $400"; when we called to inquire, his office staff said she wasn't aware that all of the work hadn't been completed and she'd have to check with Steve. After MULTIPLE calls in attempt to get an answer, she informed us that the estimate had been only for the two jobs and that he'd have to come out to do another estimate for the other projects. We finally decided to have someone else do the work as communication with Wood Floors R Us was very difficult and we couldn't get them to return calls or come back to the house. We are still disputing the initial bill as we had to hire someone else to fix the transition and complete the rest of the work. Steve said he'd call to discuss the situation but we haven't heard from him in months after we've called the office multiple times. Although Steve was helpful during the initial estimate at the house, we have had nothing but trouble with Wood Floors R Us and have spoken to others with the same report.
