Tech Masters

Had one company come out 2 weeks before, mistook the problem, said they would order parts. One week later called them up and was told they had found the part the day before and it would be in the next week. I bought a couple of space heaters because the weather was getting cold at night. 2 weeks after the tech (?) came, I called again and found out they could not locate the part and they really don't work on boilers, I should get hold of a company that does. When were they planning to tell me this? It was going to get in the low 30's and snow over the weekend. Tech Masters was recommended to me so I called, Nick came out that afternoon, checked out everything, found the problem and I had heat again! Due to the fact I live 30 miles out of town, it cost me a little more. But it was worth it to have a knowledgable tech go through my controls and let me know what was wrong. I work with boilers for a living, much larger than the one in my house, so I know that Nick knows what he's doing. I don't have the experience of working on smaller boilers so I'm glad to know someone is out there whom I can count on, if I need to.

The unit would run, but the fan would not spin. Turned out the bearings were sticky and the condenser fan motor needed to be replaced. The motor was replaced and the unit now works great! We received service the same day I had called and it was a busy day for them. The service technician was very cordial and professional. The dispatcher provided great communication between me, and the service technician, which made it easy to coordinate someone being at home. The tech called when he was on his way to the house - which eliminated waiting for hours during a "service window". And that was very appreciated!

We called Techmaster Tuesday morning and the tech came out that afternoon. The tech diagnosed and explained the problem very well so that we understood what we were paying for. The part was ordered from Omaha and fixed the next day. He also pointed out a few other potential problems that he said could have caused the motor to go out. Rather than insisting that the work must be done by a professional, he explained that it would be something simple that we could do ourselves.

I called the number at lunch and a real person replied, took my info and said a technician would come by the same afternoon. He came soon after. He was pleasant and efficient, and had everything he needed to make my furnace blow warm air again. Tested it for cracks and it was OK. Wore booties over his shoes and left no mess at all. I would not hesitate to go to this company if we decide to upgrade our heating system.
