Our Kenmore AC unit (which we have been very pleased with since installed two years ago) failed to start up again after I shut it down to clean the electronic filters on Sunday morning, June 1, 2014. As our house heated up, I called the toll-free number for service, shared my info with the operator and was told I would be contacted within 24 hours by the nearest service provider to set up a service appointment. I called again on Monday afternoon (June 2, 2014) and was told I should be patient--someone would call me within 48 hours. When I hadn't heard anything by Wednesday, June 4, I called a third time and convinced the operator to try to shake something loose. He put me on hold for 5 minutes or so and when we reconnected, he assured me I would get a call soon from someone in Lincoln, NE, which is nearest our rural home. In summary, I was not contacted by anyone for repair services. We had great service when we bought the unit and had it installed, but this most recent experience when I needed service was pretty miserable. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER APPLIANCE OR HEATING/AC FROM SEARS AGAIN. When they operated their own local service center, the customer service was great. I can't help but believe this poor services is a result of their switch to national call centers.

I was very pleased. They were very knowledgeable and had a good selection. They were very price competitive. They had what I wanted. I just wanted a basic, barebones; it keeps your food cold refrigerator. They delivered it right away, set it up, and removed the old one. I thought it was very easy.
