+ -1 moreBob took the computer (the heaviest one I've ever handled) from my hands at the door. I had a seat in their workroom which was organized and clean. When he decided to keep it for further work, Bob had me fill out an information sheet and said he'd call me in the morning. He called to tell me the motherboard was dead and I needed a new one. I went to get my computer. He handed me the harddrive and suggested it sell it for parts. He did not charge me for his services. What a treat, someone who doesn't charge just to look at it!! Yeah, Bob! He helped take it to my car.As we spoke, he gave me advice on buying a new computer. The experience was very calming and pleasant. Bob was caring, polite and professional. .
Description of Work: My desktop computer of 6-7 yrs. would not turn on. No matter what I did, it didn't turn on. I brought it to "Open Door Computer Services". Bob got right to work to see if the problem was minor. He needed to keep it and look at it further but would call me in the morning to let me know the estimate. Bob called me the next morning and told me my motherboard was dead and that they no longer made new ones for this computer and that a refurbished one would work for a little while but it would do the same thing. There was something wrong with the inner wiring. In other words, I needed a new computer (I had that feeling going in).

+ -1 moreRobert told me he charges around $80. an hour if you bring the computer to his shop. Later that day he called letting me know my computer was fixed and the cost was only $75. He suggested additional memory he said he would have to order at a cost of $75. with no cost to install. I was pleased with roberts service and friendliness. He is much cheaper than the Geek Squad.
Description of Work: I was having trouble with computer running slow. Robert cleaned and repaired my computer and fixed whatever was making it run slow. He suggested He did all of this for $75. He suggested I purchase more memory for an additional $75. with no additional installation fee. HE ordered the memory which IT took him about 2 min. to install. My computer now runs the best it has in a long time.
