Checked with five different auto glass shops in Lincoln, Nebraskaland was the lowest price. They worked me in the same day I called. Some of the shops need a week to get the windsheild in. Very nice people to work with.

We called Nebraskaland glass yesterday and they scheduled an install this morning for a new windshield. The guys that came out were very professional and polite. The work done was neat and tidy. Since it was an insurance thing, I'm not really sure how much it actually cost. I know it cost me $100. I would call these guys again in a heartbeat. 80)

I scheduled time away from work to get the VW fixed. When I arrived at the appointed time and after I waited close to an hour I was told the work could not be performed that day since the car had been rained on (and there would be moisture in the chip). This made sense, but it would have been helpful if they would have warned me about this ahead of time and if I hadn't had to wait nearly an hour just be turned away. Almost two weeks later they were able to fix the chip while the car was at where my wife works. Had I known I could schedule a remote repair for the same cost, I would have done so in the first place. The work was performed, but the wasting of my time was irritating. The piece of glass I left with them to have the sash channel replaced was a much less successful experience. The initial job took over two weeks to complete. When I did finally pick up the piece, I found upon trying to reinstall the glass in the car that the sash channel had been installed incorrectly and additionally had been glued to the glass making it nearly impossible to remove without damaging the glass and/or the sash channel. This type of glass is typically press fit into the channel using soft rubber to create a tight friction fit. I returned it to them asking that the sash channel be removed. After two weeks of delays and excuses, I returned demanding my piece of glass back only to be told they had shipped it to York, NE for some reason and as such I could not pick it up at that time. I demanded that my glass be returned to Lincoln so I could pick it up. After nearly another two weeks I stopped by and demanded my glass which had STILL not been separated from the incorrectly installed sash channel. They asked if I wanted to wait while they performed the separation, I refused and took my glass with me. So, at this point I have spent the funds to have the Chevelle glass assembled only have had my time wasted and I still have a piece of glass I basically cannot use (I have subsequently had to buy a separate piece of glass to use in my project). I did write a letter to the president/owner of the company and now a month later I have yet to receive any response whatsoever. Not only did they repeatedly fail to do their job correctly or in a timely manner, they completely failed to respond to my expressed concerns in any way.
Description of Work: I hired this company to fix a chip in the windshield of my wife's 2003 VW GTI and to replace a support channel on a piece of glass for my 1965 Chevelle wagon project car.

Response from Nebraskaland Glass
I never received any letter or was aware of the issue with my company. Had I been aware of it, it would have been dealt with. What do you feel that we could do to rectify and resolve the issue? Thank you, P.J. Shaw C.E.O.
