Technicians were very professional and personal. Walked me through key moments along the way. Assisted with setup of the thermostat. Justin R. And Sterling M. We’re phenomenal! Got done ahead of schedule and even rerouted piping and drainage lines to make my life easier. Looks great and I have a fantastic new system!!! Would highly recommend John Henry’s for all your needs!!!

A/C died and John from John Henry was able to come that evening to give us a bid. He explained our options thoroughly and was very pleasant. Justin R and Tony were at our house by 8 am the next day. They were very professional and asked if they were too loud several times throughout the day. Frankly, I hardly knew they were there by the amount of noise they made. They picked up everything before they left. Justin did a great job explaining our new A/C, air cleaner and thermostat. The next day, we had our ducts cleaned. Even though that activity is inherently noisy, they drastically minimized the noise by keeping the air compressor out in the garage. The most “difficult” thing was when I had to transfer our cats from one room to another and that took just a couple minutes. Both technicians were very nice. Even our dog was “chill” throughout the whole experience. I’d wholeheartedly recommend John Henry. BW.

They came after hours to snake the plumbing so it was told to me upfront that I had to pay overtime which I expected since it was at 10:00 pm and dark outside. He charged what was expected for 2 hours of service. He even showed me the film from his camera of my plumbing problem.

A two-man crew showed up on time and got right to work. I hadn't realized they'd need to get at the vent from inside the house - and it's behind my stacked washer and drier. The laundry closet is so small that this makes getting behind there EXTREMELY difficult and uncomfortable. But get behind it they did. They hooked up some truck-mounted suction and / or blower and cleared it out. They also cleaned the drier exhaust host / duct, cleaned the critter filter up on the roof end of the duct, and got it all squared away nicely. They were courteous and didn't complain at all about having to struggle with the tight space.

I was told the water heater was blown on bottom and need replaced and given quote was around 11k. and they were requested to hold our water heater for insurance adjuster. they put in water heater. water heater quit working same night and plumber came back when called and told us to reset anytime it happens again. which we had to reset every night. I received my bill it was over $19000 and called them and spoke the manager who was very rude. I asked him why my bill was from 11K to 19k. all he said it is what is. all told him about the problems I still have water heater he promised me he will get someone here to fix. but no one showed up to fix it. I called Ao smith the manufacturer they sent some in and fix it. the problem was it was not install properly by experienced person, who had the wires not connected right. I been over year now we do not have any problem any more. John henry lost our old water heater at their shop when insurance adjuster call for inspection. now I have their attrony calls me to hrasses me to pay or they going to court. be aware of reviews on these guys I believed these bought reviews

They were in and out in half a day. They cleaned up after themselves well, both outside and inside. They were very punctual. The thing that blew me away about them are they are quick, and September was kind of warm, and they actually came to the house to investigate the thing that I called them, and then they kind of looked at it and verified that, it got an issue and it can't just easily be fixed and we need a whole new unit, and I said when can we do that, and he's like about tomorrow, that kind of caught me off guard. I think I hit the season just right, not many people will do an air conditioner in September. But other than that, as far as responsiveness, it kind of blew me away. I'm extremely pleased with the service I received.

They got the job done, and I paid them in just over an hour. They guy then sat in front of my house for about 20 minutes. Also they installed a new t cone that I didn't really need and they didn't clear with me first. When I got the detailed bill I saw they charged for 1.5 hours of labor. Also they charged $25.66 for the t cone. I can buy one online with free shipping for $12, I'm sure they buy their's much cheaper than that. I contacted them about it and they said they felt the prices were fair. I've attached a picture of the t cone they charge me $25.66 for and the exact same one with a retail price less than half of that.
Description of Work: I needed them to cut the tree roots out of my sewer line.

Response from John Henry's Plumbing, Heating, Air, and Electrical
[Member Name Removed], We can appreciate your concerns in this matter; however, we were certain after we more than fairly offered you a refund of the t-cone and credited you back time for the labor you felt was too much, this issue was resolved. We address every issue seriously and yours was no different. Within a matter of days of your service call on 12/21/16, we had given you the labor credit (12/29) and then the t-cone refund within days if not the day you dropped off the t-cone. Our accounting department responded to you quickly and nicely and thought we had done everything in our power to be fair and make you happy. It is disheartening that after we worked with you, you still felt the need to review us badly and are still not satisfied with our resolution. As stated, we take all reviews, good and bad, very seriously and if you feel there is anything else we can do to better solve this issue, please let us know.

I came home at about 9:45 and heard water splashing somewhere in my house. I discovered that the pressure relief valve on my water heater was pouring water onto the floor in the utility closet of my single-story town home (on a concrete slab). The water had soaked through and out from the closet into the kitchen on the other side, and into the living room carpet. My entryway (adjacent to the utility closet) was flooded. I couldn't figure out how to turn off the water. I consulted the owner's manual for the water heater - the bottom half of which was soaked - but the troubleshooting section didn't have a section for "ZOMFG, water's pouring out onto the floor"! I couldn't remember who I'd called last time. With the sound of splashing water soaking more of my home in the background, I sat down at my computer and checked Angie's List for plumbers. John Henry's had a A rating with by far the most reviews, and seemed familiar so I called them. By now it was 10:00. The lady who answered the phone took my name, phone number and address, and then patched me through to the on-call plumber, Jeremy. Jeremy explained over the phone how to shut off the water (which should have been obvious to me), so that was a good start. He said it would be at least an hour before he could get to me - the streets were covered in glare ice this weekend, and the temperature was below zero - but he ended up showing up in about 30-40 minutes. He assessed the situation, diagnosed the problem immediately, quoted me a fair price, and when I agreed he got to work. He was only here for about 20 minutes and the problem was solved. He also gave me some advice against future such scenarios. There was a $100 trip fee for 7 pm to 7 am calls, but that was rolled into the cost of the repairs. I ended up paying $213.54, total, and all things considered it could have been much worse. As it turns out, even though I didn't remember Jeremy initially, he remembered me. He'd been here almost exactly two years ago replacing my kitchen faucet, and he did a bang-up job then, too. If I had remembered that when I was searching for a plumber in a panic, I wouldn't have thought twice about calling John Henry's again. Hopefully I'll remember next time.

They're fabulous. We've used them ever since we bought the house. I did a complete kitchen remodel few years back. They did all that. They've come out any time I've needed help in any of my bathrooms. They're just very professional. They're in my neighborhood. But they do work all over Lincoln. They've got quite a few trucks available to them. They're just an awesome company.

My central air conditioning unit suddenly stopped working early Sunday (Sept. 6, 2015). I called John Henry's and they said they would be here as soon as possible - mid-afternoon. Chuck arrived about 2:30 and by 3:45 he had replaced the fan and my house began to cool down. Appreciated the fact that John Henry's charges the standard diagnostic price 7 days a week...no overtime charges on Sunday. I switched to John Henry's a number of years ago because of their hours. Their first appt. of the day is 7 a..m. which is helpful to those who work outside the home. I was very satisfied with the service. Chuck was personable and helpful and efficient.

The provider was very courteous and clean on the first visit when they diagnosed the AC problem and quoted the furnace/AC units. After selecting units and signing the contract for the new furnace and AC, the provider said that they had to put a sign in my front yard. I disagreed with the provider and said that the sign was not part of the contract. We haggled for a bit and came to the agreement that the provider would put the sign in my lawn and I would immediately removed it and put it in my garage until after the final service was complete and the provider would take the sign back. The installation of the AC and furnace went smoothly. Again the installers were very courteous, punctual, and fast. During the installation, they cut some PVC pipe and didn't vacuum it up. I was disappointed that they made the effort to wear booties on their shoes, but couldn't pick up their trash. Also, the installers removed the maintenance history sticker of the adjacent water heater and put their logo sticker on the water heater. At no time during the install or quote was the water heater even discussed. Now I have lost the maintenance history for my water heater. I feel that it was slightly arrogant of the provider to tag other equipment. I talked with the service provider about my complaints, and they apologized and offered to inspect my water heater for free and post a new maintenance history on the side. They scheduled the visit on the same day as a previously scheduled duct cleaning. The inspection and duct cleaning went well. The cleaning crew were very courteous and explained the duct cleaning process clearly.
Description of Work: The provider came to fix our AC unit and give an estimate for a new furnace. The AC unit needed the coolant refilled and one of the two cooling coils was bad. The provider refilled the coolant and recommended a new AC. (Both the AC and heater were 24 years old.) The provider gave prices for three levels of furnace/AC combinations. The provider credited the cost of the coolant refill and service call to the final installation of the furnace/AC units two weeks later.
