Description of Work: I had a real problem with water from neighboring properties flowing across my back yard and causing erosion. Marcus designed a multi-part solution, including sodding eroded areas. And, after bidding the job, I added an additional problem for him: Handle outflow from a sump pump. He was held up getting started by some heavy rains, but once that was behind us, the job was completed quickly, as designed, and on budget. Plus, his crew was competent, friendly, and tolerated my looking over their shoulders as they worked. I'd definitely hire Great Plains again.

Description of Work: He did a little bit of landscaping with river rock and grass.

Description of Work: Marcus and crew removed an very large old retaining wall and replaced it with a very nice stacked wall. The new wall was laid with extreme care and great care was taken to make sure that it is level. Marcus not only explained how they would install the wall and why it would be very good but he also followed through with each step he explained. I was very impressed with his great care and attention to detail. A second part of this project was to remove a large volume of very old pavers and replace with a new material called porous pave. This is basically chipped rubber tires have been colored and then are laid somewhat similarly to asphalt. This material was installed around our pool. Marcus is very friendly as well as concerned about making sure he is doing a good job. I found him as being easy to reach and he was always good about returning my calls. His crew was similarly friendly and hardworking. We will continue to use Marcus and Great Plains Landscaping to do the projects that we aren't capable of accomplishing.
