Decked Out

Decked Out offered a bid to do the work in the winter of 2018 during warm periods when it was their less busy time).. The work began well but was not completed tho' there were multiple warm periods. I tried to keep in touch via voice mail from February thru the fall of 2018 but no one returned to finish this project. I did talk with Shane one time in the fall and he said the company was having some problems and that he was aware that the job had not been completed yet but was on their list for completion. That never happened and finally in the summer of 2019 I hired another contractor to complete the deck. I made an initial 1/2 payment that Decked Out requested to buy materials. Then I made a big mistake (when they were about 3/4th done) and they said they needed the money to complete the project - and I wrote them a check. They took the money but never came back. I explored taking the company to small claims court but was advised it would be cheaper to hire someone else to finish the project and chalk the money loss as a lesson to never pay in full until the work is completed! This is very disappointing because the workers seemed so pleasant and the work they began seemed to be acceptable.

Signed a contract in May. Started project end of July. Beginning of August project mostly completed with some items still needing attention. Haven’t seen them since. It’s now October, over 2 months later. We have called them repeatedly and are promised someone will be here this week, or over the weekend, or next week. We’ve heard every excuse you could think of. They have not made good on their promises. We have issues with the labor which has a year guarantee. Guarantee doesn’t do any good if they never show up. We spent a lot of money and were conned out of even more money out of desperation to get the job done. We are still waiting for them to finish the project. This company is not honest and has poor business practices.

the guy arrived on time for our free estimate but then as he reviewed the deck he began stating the top deck was structural unsound and he was surprised we hadn't fallen through yet. we asked for evidence the wood being bad and he could not provide evidence to support his claim. then he proceeded to say for what we were needing done it would be 3,000-4,000 but when we got his official email with the quote it was 10,000! i would not recommend this company unless you want to be robbed.

It went fabulous. They were very prompt. They came when they said they would. They were flexible on the start date and were able to work with us when we needed to reschedule. They were flexible with color even when I changed my mind. They quality of the work is outstanding. Everything lines up and fits perfectly. None of the workers were cussing, they always had a manager with them. We couldn't have been more pleased.

Alex & his crew did an amazing job on my decks. They are very knowledge and professional. Work was done promptly and excessed our expectations. We love entertaining on them!
