Aire Serv of Omaha

We called Aire Serv out as our AC line was freezing and the air was not coming out cold. The tech who came out told us we need a new evaporator coil, and we have rust in the unit also. We asked what we could do in the meantime so we could stay in the house, he said he could put refrigerant in but we shouldn't cause it's expensive and it would just leak out. We decided to put it in anyway and see if we made it til the new coil got here. We were then informed that the cost of the coil and labor would be $1900 out of pocket and that was after the home warranty. We decided to get a second opinion (our AC was still working fine after three days). We had Elite come out and the tech informed us that there was a small leak in the coil, it didn't need replacing, just tightening and there was no rust. I run a dog sitting business out of my home and I had to cancel dogs for this week because I didn't know if the air would be working. They also charged $389 for 3lbs of refrigerant. I would find a different company, they do not care for customers at all!

Not good I paid for a service that was to repair and for the next air conditioner and furnace inspection. WELL and in capitals..... paid for this and had to call for the airconditioner inspection and waited for the furnace inspection and now it is APRIL and no inspection was suppose to be on the so called list to call and set up a time for the furnace inspection...NO CALL well do you expect anything but an F minus minus minus. do you think I'm mad. Would welcome a call from them but that might be asking to much.......

Their quality was very good. I bought one additional part, a capacitor. If I get a new air conditioner it can be transferred to it. Yes, I would use them again in the future.

How did it go. NOT GOOD. Found this company on Angie's List and was rated A. Called this company to repair my furnace. The tech talked us into buying the Silver Plan that would included inspecting the Air Conditioner this Spring and again the furnace this fall. I never heard another word from them so called today and basically was told that they are so busy that I should be the one to set up a time to schedule the inspection. Any question I asked her she avoided to answer it and I was told the tech would answer all questions when I tried to ask her what the Silver plan covered. She said she didn't want to give me a wrong answer. I have to give her a 5 STAR rating for avoiding answering any questions. Asked to speak to a manager she said she would leave a note waiting to hear if I receive a call back. Oh just got a call from Andrew the tech and said the office doesn't work Sat or Sun that I was to call the office Monday and say hey what's up why haven't you scheduled an inspection for my air conditioner. Hey that's why this company gets an F............

Last spring, when we had our air conditioner checked, a problem was found where the unit was slowly leaking Freon. We decided to replace the unit instead of fixing it. Long story short, everything went well except for the experience with the sales person. She was all over it in making the sale but afterward it seemed like we didn't exist. There was a problem in getting receipts emailed to me. I simply wasn't getting them. When I asked her about this, she stated that they are automatically sent so I should have gotten one. I had to call her twice to get the receipt with the correct dollar amount and she was irritated that I called, both times. What I found out later from a tech when I asked the same thing was - the email address had been entered incorrectly. You'd think this would have been checked when I initially stated that I was not getting email but it never was. Overall, Aire Serve has top notch techs and service is outstanding. The experience with the sales person really irritated me however especially when I found out what the problem was, a year later. It still irritates me to this day. The sales experience led me to believe that once I bought the unit, the sales person dropped me like a hot rock and from that point on, I was someone else's problem. I'll keep dealing with Aire Serve in the future as long as I can deal with someone else in the event something needs to be purchased in the future.

The old one was nice and hot. This one is supposed to be more efficient and now one of the rooms doesn't get very warm so that's annoying.

Lower their prices, they are a little expensive. I used them before, but I think they use year before prices. Service I can't complain. They were late one time before.

Great - it was done and filters were replaced.

I paid for a service contract to come twice a year to check our furnace and air conditioner. They checked the air conditioner in the Spring and never came back. I have never heard from them. They were suppose to come back for the furnace in the fall and the never called or showed up. They never bothered to contact us. They are pretty lousy. Don't call this company. They are not reliable. They don't do what they say they are going to do. I would not recommend this company to anybody. They overcharged me, then disappeared.

It went very well and the technician provided us with some good advice. She recommended we replace our air filter a bit more often. She also recommended a whole home humidifier system. We'd been thinking about it beforehand.

It went wonderfully. Kevin was very helpful and he and the crew were prompt and professional.

Purchased a summer/winter service package. Appointment was set up right away. The tech was courteous and showed me what he was doing. A/C seems to be running more efficiently.

Don't waste your time... Called them out to diagnose a frozen coil. Was given three options, 1) clean the coil and refill with freon, which the technician guaranteed would leak back out, 2) replace the coil at a cost of $1500, which the technician said would be too large for our outdoor unit, as they do not make that size coil an longer, or 3) replace the entire system as it was over 20 years old. We decided to talk to a salesperson about replacing everything first an go from there. When we were not able to afford to replace everything, we decided just to have the coil cleaned and hope it would last until we could go forward with everything at a later date. I then called for the service appointment only to be told that the technician had decided that the coil cleaning and freon replacement WAS NO LONGER AN OPTION.....? and that a new coil would now be $1800.... "Bait and Switch" much? Bitterly disappointed, a will never call again or recommend for anything.

On 05/03/2016 I purchased the 50% off of "Annual maintenance Program" thinking I could apply the first appointment immediately to service my A/C. When I called to schedule an appointment I was told that with this offer they couldn't come out for at least 4-5 weeks. If I wanted to pay an additional $89.00 for a Service Call they could come out right away. Which is what I thought I was purchasing the maintenance plan for in the first place. If I had know this I certainly would not have purchased this service option. In addition this plan expires in November 30, 2016, so if I have to pay the additional $89.00 service charge for them to come out right away the offer will expire before I can us both of the appointments offered. I would like to cancel this purchase and receive a full refund. Would you please advise how this is handled and when I can expect the refund. Thank you for your prompt attention to this and I look forward to your quick response!

It went very well! Heather was a true and knowledgeable professional. She showed up on time, but some booties on her shoes since it had been raining outside, and looked at everything I had on my list. She fixed my humidification system, adjusted some dampers to increase air flow into a room that was lacking, checked the thermostats for set-up, and educated me all along the way. She also gave me some recommendations on wifi thermostats I was interested in, along with costs associated with installing them. Great service at a great price. Thank you, Heather, and Aire Serv. I will call again when I have any hvac issues, and will recommend you to my friends and family.

Good communication with dispatch, and flexible when my work schedule required a change in scheduling. Technician was friendly and explained everything he was working on. Furnace repaired!

The service was prompt and courteous. I was only charged the Angie's List price even though our furnace is hard to get to, and I'm sure it took longer than expected. Well worth the price.

It was fine. It was over $200. I think their time they spent here was just for check-up and he wanted to charge some other things. I happened to look on Angie's List. You have a package with the things he wanted to charge me way more for. Angie's List said that he was not aware of that package. He tried to charge me more and he didn't tell me about the other deal that was on Angie's List. They were on time. I signed up for their maintenance thing for another AC unit check-up and heating check-up.
