Thrasher Foundation Repair - Omaha

THe work was done quickly and they cleaned up after they were finished. The initial contact person was with the sales department and used high pressured sales to more services than were needed.

The initial review and estimate were done very professionally. I was told that for the most part the sidewalk could be leveled even though there were some problem areas with tree roots. With the exception of one 4' x 4' section, the work done was excelllent. II was told that the remaining section would most likely need to be removed and replaced. I arranged for an estimate to repair the remaining section. The estimator showed up and provided an extremely high cost to replace the one segment, he told me he understood the cost was prohibitive and would discuss it with his supervisor. That was almost two weeks ago. Overall I am not happy with the end results as the most critical repair has not been made and now it appears I will have to find another contractor to complete the project.

We had Thrasher replace our sump pump and fix a basement leak. They were so awesome, we had them replace our failing retaining wall as well. Again, the guys were so professional, the quality of their work was amazing, and they showed such pride in their work. If you want something done well and with pride of workmanship, pick Thrasher, they will not disappoint!

Initial meeting with Nathan the estimate guy was professional and informative. He provided me options, information and made an appointment as soon as was available (about 2 months out) once I agreed to contract them. He also put me on a "move up" list to get the job done earlier if crews came available. About 5 weeks later I got a call that they could do it early, so I scheduled it for the next week. The install crew was timely, professional and very efficient at completing the job. Took them about 6 hours to excavate near wall on outside of the house, install the 6 I beams to support the inside of the wall then backfill along the outside of house once wall was plumb. Overall I am very happy with the finished product (31 feet of wall that is now plumb).

I only wish I would have gotten them when I got a quote in 2006, I would have save about 30,000.00 in damages.

Aside from the cost which we thought was a little bit high, they were wonderful. But we do have a 25 year guarantee on our basement walls.

Our sump pump broke and the line froze, so they replaced it with a triple pump system with freeze guards that keep the water from freezing outside and blocking the line. The new sump pump system is so much nicer, bigger, and SO quiet. The electrician, Greg, went out of his way to find a circuit with one item on it and tied into that so we did not need any drywall ripped up...very nice. We have also been battling a basement leak for almost ten years. Jason came and identified the problem and the required fix, then went above and beyond to make sure that all the prep work was done properly and that we were satisfied with what was about to happen, he even came and helped the guys for a while! Mel and his team came, dug up the concrete, and laid a drainage system across one wall of the basement, and took it into the sump pump. At first, I was scared to death listening to all the jackhammering, but from the minute they walked in, the guys were so conscientious about doing everything right and without major upset to our house, it put me right at ease. They were very fast, and the finished product looks amazing, so professional and clean. The entire experience was unbelievable, they all were so helpful, pleasant, knowledgeable, professional. I would recommend Thrasher, hands down, to anyone with any type of basement issue!

I placed an inquiry online using Thrasher's website and they responded the next day. They sent out Don Good along with a sales rep who wanted to tag along to get a better feel on 12 Nov. We first looked at the sump pit area in the basement and they asked what my end goal was. My biggest goal was to minimize the musty smell caused by having an open pit in the utility closet and lower the basement relative humidity. I also mentioned that I wasn't a fan of having a non-sealed pit given the concerns of radon across the Omaha area. They set out an RH sensor to check the values and we went around the rest of the house. The final RH value was something near 60%. They advised me of a few other potential issues that could arise, like street creep in the garage, and we discussed those as well but we settled on the single pack with an install date of 3 Dec. They weren't pushy on any of the other items but it was good to hear some other things we might consider later. On 3 Dec we received a call from Juan Matos that they'd be out in the afternoon. His team arrived and explained what they would be doing. He was very professional and polite. They put down tarps and isolated the work area to keep the rest of the finished basement unaffected. They worked for about 2 hours start to finish and showed me the final product. He went over some of the features and told me what to do if the alarms went off. They cleaned up nicely and left the place looking almost like it did before they arrived. We did hit one snag after they left, they did get enough adhesive on the PVC pipe joint which caused a small leak that wasn't noticed until after hours and they don't have a 24 hour emergency service number. If I had one recommendation it'd be that they have a person on standby for new installs like this when dealing with water. Had it been a larger leak, it would have caused major damage. I contacted them first thing the following morning and they sent someone out by 10am. He replaced the PVC pipe and sealed it, also replaced the silicon caulking around the top of the pit. So now I have a completed project which looks nice and reduced the moisture in the basement.

Juan Matos was the leader and did a great job of contact, explaining and finishing the work. They were timely, clean and efficient. Him and his team were great to work with. Cole Hothan was the System Designer and did a great job of reviewing the problem and then coming up with the solution.

I was very pleased with both crews and their work. the price was quite high, but my basement was a real challenge. I'm satisfied.

The polylevel experience was fine. The streetcreep not so great. When the job was initially completed in 2014 the crew was about 3 hours late, then had problems with a saw blade. Over the winter the rubber material heaved and popped out of the 4" cut made in our driveway. The crew that came back in 2015 to repair also arrived about 2 hours late and were surprised we were ever sold streetcreep. Since our driveway is quite steep it streetcreep probably isn't even a issue. Plus the material was installed at one of the widest parts of the driveway and we are charged by the foot. Now we have this rubber piece in our drive that I don't expect to stay in place over the winter, plus a 4" cut the width of the driveway in the concrete. The product was not explained well by the salesperson -- and I don't think we needed it in the first place. We trusted the Thrasher name but are quite disappointed.

Salvador Looex and crew did a great job. Finished the sumo and water guard in a day. Good cleanup. Creative solution for the exit pvc to minimize the exposure of pipes in finished area. Took the time to explain where the water was coming in the basement. This is the second sump that Salvador and crew pit in for us. Each time excellent service.

One of Thrasher's reps came out to inspect my basement and property following some heavy rainfall that led to flooding. He was thorough in assessing the property, pointing out concerns and discussing how to correct them. We wound up going with a more temporary fix for now but will keep Thrasher in mind for future work that might need to be done.

It went fine. They were in and out really quick and did a great job. They upheld their promises.

So good so far. The only item was clean up. The walls may need to be repainted.

Work was great, installers were excellent, couldn't be happier! I don't know if the price was high or low, I didn't contact anyone else. It seemed very reasonable for the amount of work and material that went into the job. Highly recommended.

Everything went according to estimate - cost and time. In and out in one day for waterproofing. A second day, a few weeks after radon testing to install abatement system. Both crews were very professional - clean-up was excellent (little dust or mess to deal with). Highly recommend this business.

They did everything during the promised times and have followed up with three additional vista just to answer questions and clean up some of their work. After the initial install, my wife noticed some cracking in the cement.... They returned and relaid the concrete. Mike did the i tall... His team was extremely professional and stayed with the job until we were completely satisfied. I know that thrasher is a little more expensive, but the service and piece of mind make it totally worth the cost. We aren't sure whether we want to expand on the waterproofing (we didn't exactly do the full service for their waterproofing because we wanted to leave some of the bricks in the basement exposed) but if we do, we will call thrasher again. CJ gave us our initial quote and completed our initial inspection. If all of ther inspectors are as professional and knowledgable, then I doubt you will be disappointed.

Crew chief notified me of the time they would arrive and they were on time. They hand dug the holes for the piers. They inserted the piers and lifted the foundation less than 1/2 an inch. Then installed street creep stopper on driveway and cleaned up. You could hardly tell that they had been there. A problem arose with where the 3rd pier was supposed to go. The crew Cheif met with his supervisor and found a viable solution.

Had to have service tech. Out to redo and replace 2 of the pumps. I don't believe the installation crew had proper time to install system

They were able to provide a complete bid upfront with a significant discount for agreeing to use them the day bid was submitted. A crew of 5 showed up in the morning on the day of install. I had a big project - but stayed a bit later and got everything done. Everything was cleaned up, install looks great, salesman stopped by to make sure I was happy with everything. Very very very professional. It might have cost a bit more than other systems but these guys are amazing.

Jim was very professional and answered all of my questions/concerns. He was here on time and finished in a timely manner.

The service went fine. I have used the company in the past. They do good work. Their staff is nice and friendly. The technicians were very knowledgeable and explained everything to me very well. They were very helpful and scheduling was easy. They were flexible with my schedule. They are a good, reliable company.

Very nice and professional. We will use them again if needed.
