Dobberstein Roofing Co Inc

Dobberstiens Crew showed up on Friday and started riping the roof off. Eight men showed up and had the shingles off and new tar paper down by the end of the day. They just forgot to put sheeting down. Mr Dobberstien and I had discussed replacing sheeting only where needed to save on cost. The only problem, I didn't know there was no sheeting at all. The roof is an old roof with spaced sheeting. The men working on the roof could not speak English so I could not communicate with them. So half the nails put in the roof are in air in the attic. There are different colored shingles on the roof. The flashing they put on is only on half of the house and is leaking where it didn't leak before. The trimming of shingles is crooked. Mr Dobberstien never showed up until the job was over to hand me the final bill. I showed him the flashing all the trash in the yard. Nails still all over and they had drove accross the yard over my old side wallk which crushed it and over bushes. Mr Dobberstien and his brother trimmed some of the shingles. Picked up trash and nails. Dobberstien said nothing about the side walk and bushes. Dobberstien said he didn't understand why the flashing was put on like it was. Dobberstien said I would have credit at the local lumber yard for the miscolored shingles. That it wasn't his responseability. I asked about the spaced roof. Dobberstien replied that I didn't want any sheeting put down. This company or it's crew is not allowed on my property ever. It was all a big rip off with very unprofessional work and staff. I have not paid him his remainder of the bill, Nor do I plan on doing so. I will go see a lawyer before he gets any more of my money.

They responded to my request for a bid within 1 day with a formal contract. They were gracious to explain all the details of the contract. The work was completed within a few days of signing the contract. They were prompt, cleaned up the yard, and guaranteed their work. They worked within the weather forecast to be sure the structure was not open to the weather, and finished within 2 days of starting the project. Payment is due only after all the work is completed and approved. They did a great job. I wouldn't use anyone else for this work.
