Beman's Appliance Service

When our dryer would not turn on, I found Bemen's on Angie's List and called them. The lady who answered the phone was very friendly and nice to talk to. She explained the initial service call and diagnostic fees ($80) and that the service man would go over his findings with us and we could then decide how to approach the repairs. She asked what day worked for me and I choose for him to come sometime in the morning (8-noon). She did let me know that the service fee would need to be paid to him after he was done. My boyfriend was home to meet with the service man, Russ. According to my boyfriend, Russ was very nice and worked well. He immediately found that all we needed was to replace a fuse. He also cleaned out all of the built up lint, which he explained might have caused the burnt out fuse. To top it off, he didn't even take the payment we had for him. He said he would just include the service call fee with the bill for the fuse. Considering that I live about 12 miles out of Hastings, they didn't even charge mileage. I have since found out that they have days of the week set aside to make service runs to Grand Island. I have a co-worker in Grand Island who has used Bemen's because they are the only company in the area that services her microwave warranty. She also said they are very friendly to work with.

My refrigerator had leaked water onto the floor intermittently over a few days. I checked on Angie's List to find a repair place and discovered excellent reports for Beman Appliance, so I called them to make an appointment. They were very curteous and were able to make an appointment for the same day, which surprised me. They called ahead to be sure I was home before arriving. The serviceman was very professional and curteous, and he explained what the problem was and what he did to fix it.

The man who came to my home's name was Russ, he has been to my home before. I can't say enough good things about him. He went out of his way because I was told it couldn't be fixed until next week but he was in the area so he went above and beyond what he needed to and repaired it earlier than scheduled. I'm a mom with 3 kids and no washer would be awful, it meant a lot to me that he came out and took care of it as soon as possible.

I tried calling several repair shops on 8/17/11 as my washing machine wouldn't 'spin out'. The first 3 places I called were too busy to make the housecall until at least the following week. When the receptionist answered at Beman's, she scheduled an appointment for one of their technicians to come out the next day. The technician arrived ontime and was able to resolve the problem in a very timely manner. I am very satisfied with the work that was done and the way I was treated as a customer.
