The product is excellent. The work crew were tops. We have no complain with the finished product or the men that did the work. Our complaint is with Jack Rediger, the President of the company. He was our original contact and the one that came to our home to bid the job. He presented the bid as a complete package which we were led to believe included all materials and labor for the completed sunroom. He explained that the bid included the electrical cost for installing a ceiling fan if we bought the fan, but it did not include any outlets. He also stated that he did not have the cost of his recommended flooring product but he would supply it at his “cost”. This cost would be an add-on to the contract cost. We signed the contract and gave him the requested down payment. The first surprise came the day he returned with the final design prints for our approval. We noted that the triangular transom area above the windows on both side walls were solid and did not contain glass. We requested glass as that is what we thought we were getting based upon his original visit and the brochure he left with us on that first visit. He said he would see if glass could be put in. No mention was made of any additional cost for this glass by Mr. Rediger. The next day one of his employees arrived to take additional measurements for the glass to be in the two transoms. He informed us that Mr. Rediger told him to tell us that if we wanted the glass it would be $600 extra as the original contract called for solid “wings”. He showed us where this was stated in the contract. I showed him the brochure we were given to illustrate the product we had purchased. I showed him that every sunroom in the brochure had glass in the transoms above the windows and that was the product we had been led to believe we were purchasing. When the original contract was signed, no mention had been made about “wings” at all, much less what they were or that they would be solid. Somehow this item had been forgotten. Upon completion of the project, except for the installation of final flooring, Mr. Rediger and an associate came to our home, on July 22, for final payment. We told Mr. Rediger that we assumed that the installation of final flooring was included in the labor and cost of the total package. He informed us that the installation of the floor was never part of the contract as that was not common practice in the construction of a sunroom in this area. I would have to sign a second contract with him to obtain the flooring material at “his cost”, as specified in the original contract, and have it installed. I brought up my objections of his adding $600 to final contract price for the glass in the transoms. He claimed he discussed this with us when we first accepted his contract. I told him he did not. He then threatened to walk out of the house and not finish the floor installation if I continued to contest the $600 charge. Under duress, I paid the final payment on the original contract including the additional $600 for glass in the transoms. We then signed a second contract for the installation of the floor. We paid half its total cost with payment of the other half to be paid upon completion of the floor installation.. I then researched Mr. Rediger’s claims. I phoned four remodeling contractors in the Lincoln area and asked them if it was common practice to include the installation of a final floor in their bid for a sunroom construction. Three said it was their practice to include the floor as part of the total bid. The fourth contractor said he gave it as an option to the customer when he presented the bid. None of the four stated that it was common practice to not include the floor installation as part of a sunroom construction job. Mr. Rediger listed his “cost” for the flooring material as $3.75/square foot in our second contract. I later found two flooring companies in Lincoln, NE, that quoted a lower retail price for the same material and pattern that we had selected. The pattern of the floor material had been chosen from samples on June 25, 2019. We learned that it had not yet been ordered by Remodel Nebraska during Mr. Rediger’s visit on July 22. At that time delivery was promised to us (in writing) within two to three weeks. After three weeks we were told the delivery date would be Sept.12. Because of his failure to deliver the flooring material within the specified three weeks, his misrepresentation of its actual “cost”, his threat to me, and his general demeaning attitude towards us, we cancelled the second contract on August 12. In cancelling the contract, I asked Mr. Rediger for $300 back of the money paid for the transom glass as well as the money prepaid towards the floor installation. I was willing to compromise on the $600 and give him half ($300) but believed he owed me at least half back as he acquired the funds from me under duress and by threatening me. He refused unless I signed a waiver of my right to review his work or tell anyone about the job or our transactions. I refused to sign, so he only refunded the funds we prepaid towards the floor installation. In summary: The finished product sold by Remodel Nebraska is excellent. The crewmen doing the work are tops and did a first class job. Yet, the president of the company, who does the selling and the bidding of the work, withholds information. He alludes to inclusions in the contract that are not there and end up as extras with extra cost. He offers materials at his “cost” and then prices them into his contract at greater than local retail prices. When questioned about these things, he resorts to threats to end the discussion and get what he wants.

Work done was excellent. The problem is the President of the company who does the selling and bids the job. He misleads the potential customer by alluding to things being in the contract that are not. He offers materials at his "cost" and then enters their cost into the contract at prices over local retail prices. When questioned about these practices, he resorts to threats to get his way. When asked for a compromise on the final cost, concerning the add on price, he would do so only if I signed a waiver to my right to publicly review the job. Needless to say, I did not sign his proposed waiver.

There were a few hiccups, but they always came back out to fix anything that needed fixing. The deck and patio cover look great even though some of the design had to be changed because of the slope of the yard. The guys were great to work with
