On 10/03/2009 at a home show I purchased a Sunheat Sauna Model 8002 from sunheats salesman, Dan Elsasse, I also payed shipping charges. At the time of sale I asked that the Sauna be held until 10/14/2009 and then shipped. We were doing some remodeling at our home and it would not be complete until that date. I also signed up for a door prize for another electrical appilance that was on display. I am disabled, and at the time of purchase Mr. Elsasser told me that when I received the sauna he would come over and help me install the sauna, it would only take a few hours. A week later Mr. Elsasser called my house and told me that I did not win the door prize, but I did win a $ 20.00 gift certificate for a local restaurant. He told me he would see that I would receive the certificate. Of course that never happened. On 10/16/2009 I called Sunheat sales and asked if they had shipped the sauna, now I started to get the run around. First I was transfered 4 or 5 times to various people who told me they new nothing about the sale. I gave them the purchase invoice number, 21252 and the model number 8002. I was told that they never heard of a model number 8002 and they had no sauna with that model number and didn't know what I was talking about. I then called the salesman Dan Elsasser, who has now turned rude, and developed a I don't care attitude, not his problem, he had made his sale, He told me to call the owner of the company "Ted". I called for Ted at the company's phone number, I was asked who was calling and why I was calling. I gave them my name and why I called. After a few minutes Ted answered the phone in this manner " what the h*** are you mad about". ( he had already talked to the saleman) I told him what was going on, that I was told nobody new about the order and nothing had been shipped. I was told I had called the wrong number to find out about the sauna. The number I called is the number listed on the invoice and it was the number given to me by the salesman. It is the phone number for a company named T & R Distribution. I was told that Ted's office manager decided on her own that since I was doing some remodeling it wasn't necessary to ship the sauna on 10/14/2009, and she was going to wait until later in the month to ship the item. I told Ted the item can be ship now, not in a few more weeks. On 10/23/2009 at 9:35 a.m. I received a phone call from the trucking company who was going to deliver the sauna. I was told that they could not make the delivery until monday 10/26/2009, and they would not make the delivery until I paid them an additional $ 45.00 in charges. I told the lady that I had already paid the freight charges when I purchased the item. She told me that it was too bad but I still had to pay another $ 45.00 in freight charges. I called Sunheat Sales again and asked to talk to Ted. I was asked my name and why I was calling. I was put on hold, after waiting 4 or 5 minutes the line went to dial tone. I called again and asked for Ted. I was told he wasn't in today. I then talked to 3 different people at Sunheat who were rude and would not help me. Finally a woman called me from Sunheat, (Ms. Wipple) who told me that she got in touch with the trucking company and they would deliver today between 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. And I would not have to pay any additional freight charges. The truck driver arrived about 1:00 p.m. He told me that because of the weight of the item they had to take it off one pallet and put it on a smaller pallet so they could move it. The item came in two boxes, both boxes were banded real tight, So tight that it had broken the boxes. There was no packing list in the box or on the outside by the label. I unpacked the sauna, there are some scratches to the wood work, but I accecpted it the way it is. I knew there was no way that the saleman Elsasser would come over and help me set up the sauna like he promised. There was no instruction book on how to assemble the sauna but it was not hard to figure out. I got it assembled, but the only thing that worked was the radio/disc player. The sauna itself did not work. I had a electrican look at it and he found that wire connections for the control panel were not connected. That was corrected and the sauna now works. In the process of assembling the sauna there appears to be some items that are missing. I'm missing a door handle, instructions on the operation of the remote control and a pkg of screws, an instruction manual on the operation of the unit. I think there was a small parts pkg that fell out of the box or was never shipped. I have called Sunheat Sales and tried to make contact with " Ted". I'm asked who is calling and why I'm calling. I'm told he is not in today or I put on hold and go to a dial tone. I've made 4 phone calls to the customer service and talked to a guy I think his name is brandon, I've told him I missing some parts and he tells me someone will call me back in 10 minutes. To date, I have not received any phone calls and I can't get anybody to help with this problem. I would like to get the items I'm missing and that I paid for but I can't get help from the Sunheat Company.
