DO NOT HIRE OBERMILLER SEAMLESS. Dealing with Barry Obermiller, his workers, and staff is a nightmare to say the least. Hired Obermiller Seamless to install seamless gutters on my house which was a HUGE mistake. The work his crew did on my house was absolutely terrible. I will have to pay a reputable company to fix what Obermiller Seamless's worthless crew messed up. They did not install what they said they would install but still wanted me to pay for it. Barry Obermiller, his crew, and staff are all LIARS, CHEATERS, DISHONEST PEOPLE, and THIEVES. His crew left my house trashed with debris and did TERRIBLE work installing the gutter guards. When I asked Barry Obermiller what was going on with this LOUSY work his crew had done he became absolutely enraged and called me a MOTHER F****** IDIOT along with many, many, many, other obscenities. Barry Obermiller and his entire crew and staff have ZERO professionalism. If I had read the reviews about Obermiller Seamless I NEVER, NEVER, NEVER would have hired them. Also, their prices are outrageous compared to other reputable companies. I have NO IDEA how they stay in business screwing HONEST customers. Do yourself a BIG, BIG, BIG favor and hire an honest company and you will not have to go through the nightmare I and my wife had to experience with Obermiller Seamless.

Description of Work: I foolishly hired Obermiller Seamless to install the windows in my new home. They are supposed to have a lifetime warranty. Several seals have failed, but they refuse to do anything about it. A window cracked due to a defect. It took them several months to get it replaced. My written contract specified full length aluminum screens, but they came with half length fiberglass. Barry Obermiller refused to correct their error, and I had to take the screens to Ace Hardware myself to get aluminum screens put on. The patio doors open with great difficulty, as if they have square rollers. The screens on the patio doors are of such shoddy material they are unusable. And Obermiller will not do anything about it. I tell everyone I can that if I had it to do over, the one thing I would do differently would be to hire ANYONE except Obermiller Seamless to install my windows.

We contacted Obermiller to replace windows in our house that was built in 1913. Some of our windows were the original windows. They came out and gave us a quote and told us how long it would be. We were told 6 weeks for the windows to come in and then a couple days to install the windows. It ended up being closer to 12 weeks for them to come out and put the windows in. When they did come out to put them in it took 2.5 days the work went smoothly and the windows have been wonderful with no problems. We actually had a bad hail storm recently and the new windows are the only ones that made it through the storm with out breaking or cracking.
Description of Work: Installed new windows in half the house.

They were professional. The windows that we installed...you know everything is warrantied. The guy who installed the windows is the only certified around here. They are very good. They found out about the siding and fixed everything and made it right.

Terrible. There was supposed to be a lifetime warranty. The windows started going bad almost immediately. They replaced two of them, which took three months, then refused to replace several other windows with broken seals. Although full aluminum screens were specified in the contract, they put in half sized fiberglass screens. They refused to replace them, and I had to do it. The overall quality of the work was as shoddy as the quality of the windows.

We are replacing all the windows in our home. Had several estimates and choose Obermiller because they said that they could have our windows in by Thanksgiving. They were not the least expensive but thought it would be wise to go with someone local. Paid 1/2 down. The week of Thanksgiving we called them so see exactly when they would be out. We didn't want them coming the day before Thanksgiving. They told us that they were a couple of weeks behind schedule and it would be the middle of December before they could get them installed. The week of Christmas we called them again because we didn't want them coming that week and doing it. They told us at that time that it would be February or March now before they can do it. They were very misleading in their time frame. I don't have much faith in them now and wish we would have went somewhere else. They refuse to return our down payment because they had to order a special bay window. I just hope that if they ever do install the windows that their work isn't as bad as their costumer service is.

Using Obermiller Seamless has been a nightmare. They furnished shoddy materials and did shoddy work. They refused to honor the guarantee and refused to install the materials specified in the contract, such as aluminum screens instead of fiberglas. It took them three months to replace a cracked window, which cracked due to a defect. It took them another three months to replace a double pane window with a leaking seal. They refused to replace other windows with leaking seals. When accompanied by wind, rain leaks in around window frames. The patio doors open with such difficulty it takes an adult to open or close them. The patio screens are so flimsy they won't stay on in Nebraska breezes. If I had to build my house all over again, the one thing I would do is to use ANYONE but Obermiller Seamless to furnish and install the windows. They are impossible to work with, yet they continue to advertise, "We'll go to any length to beautify your home."
Description of Work: We contracted with Obermiller Seamless to furnish and install the windows and patio doors on our new home. They were not the cheapest bid, but we thought it was prudent to use a local contractor. We were told the windows were guaranteed forever against any breakage or defects. Problems began almost immediately. I had to have them return to properly install insulation over a bay window. The windows leaked air so badly they would whistle. Barry Obermiller told me to hold a candle next to the windows on a windy day to locate where they leaked. I tried, but the candle kept blowing out. One window came with a defect in the glass. One window cracked almost immediately, while there was plastic on the inside and screen on the outside. I had to make countless telephone calls to them before they replaced it, and it took three months, from February to May. Then the seals on the double pane windows started leaking. They replaced one, but it took them another three months. When I complained about the long wait, Barry Obermiller said they weren't going to replace any more, and that they were no longer doing business with the window manufacturer. I said my contract is with Obermiller Seamless, not the manufacturer. That did no good, and he bad mouthed me to others. The contract specified all aluminum full screens. The windows came with half screens, and I had to fight with them over that. The patio door screens came with fiberglas screens. Barry Obermiller said they were not made with aluminum screens. I showed him the contract specifying all aluminum screens. He refused to correct that and told me to take them to Ace Hardware to have Ace put on aluminum screens. Obermiller refused to do it. It hardly mattered, because they were built so flimsily they blow off in any wind. The glass patio doors open and close with great difficulty, so it takes an adult to open or close them, as they jump and shudder. Obermiller was told that when first installed, but refused to correct it. I had to replace other windows myself due to leaking seals that Obermiller refused to replace. The installation was as shoddy as the materials. Whenever rain is accompanied by wind, which it usually is in this area, rain comes in around the window frames. I used several sub-contractors when building my home. I had no problems with the plumber, electrician, furnace and air conditioning, cabinets, etc., and would recommend them to anyone. But Obermiller Seamless has been a nighmare.
