B.A.G. Lawn Care

I'd rate in the negatives if I could. Used them last year with issues. I should have learned. Asked for 2x/wk schedule this time. Planted grass, so asked for time off, however I contacted them at 2 p.m. last Monday asking them to mow as soon as possible. Multiple excuses. This Monday employee shows up complaining the grass was too long. (Well, duh.) He drove the mower like he thought he was in the Indy 509, spinning cookies in the grass until it was literally tore up (teal circle in picture). I had the whole yard trimmed/weed-eated (ate?) so they wouldn't have to run the mower into my white vinyl fence. (Blue circle) Mind you, this was after I had cleaned and scrubbed my whole fence last weekend. They piled the grass along the fence (red), threw grass until it stuck all over my house, my cargo trailer on my driveway, and up to 5' high on my fence (black). The grass looked like a hay field, even though they were supposed to bag it (yellow arrow). The guy claimed he couldn't get the bag mower in my 52" gate. Well, there was no gate on the outside of the fence. Then, he stood and argued with me when I told him I wasn't happy and it looked like 💩. BAG owner called. His solution? Well, I wasn't under contract. Don't have them come again. His employee was worried about being fired (he should have been...but all of them drive like that because they charge less). I told him I'd rather pay double and have it done right. Thankfully, Kurt, from another lawn service company came and worked nearly 2 hours cleaning up the disaster they'd left! Imagine...only $10 more than BAG's "low price". He was worried if that mat that had been driven over was left on my lawn that I wouldn't have a lawn after two days of high temperatures. I also would not be able to water my new grass until the job was repaired. Needless to say...I have a new lawn service.

I contracted with them in the spring so the issue with them never showing up on the right day was in part because of the rain. However, first time a crew showed up they didn't edge around the rock gardens or edge the lawn by sidewalks and driveway. Also they didn't clean up so I ended up sweeping the drive off and cleaning up clumps of grass from mower wheels. Second time, one person (I assume the owner) showed up. Again, not very neatly done. Both times the lawn looked like it was mowed by a 10-year old with no set pattern. Was VERY disappointed and cancelled use.
