Description of Work: My Condo Association contracted Shaver Decorating to paint the exterior of the condos.I recieved in May a letter from my condo association that Shaver Decorating Inc of Elkhorn found my siding was in need of repair. I was told that they would repair it at a cost; or I could have the work done by a "cerified "siding contractor in other words I could not hire a company of painting contractors. I looked at my siding and could find no damage.I then called two well known siding companys in the Omaha area. I made appointments to meet with them to examine my siding. Both contractors showd up and we looked over the siding together and could find NO damage. I then called the Shaver Decorating talked to the woman in the office. She set up a time and day when she said she would look at the siding and point out the damage. I told her I wanted to be there and if there was a schedualing conflect, I wanted a reschedual.She never showed up. I called her a day later and she said she had been out to my condo ande had marked the damage with painters tape. I went out, tore off the tape and there was just the slightest damage that wasn't there befor her visit. I had a death that week in my immediate family. I was in no position to deal with a crook. I called one of the SIDING CONTRACTORS and had the new damage repaired. He said that kind of thing is what gives real SIDING CONTRACTORS a bad name .SHAVER CONTRACTING INC is the reason I joined Angie's List . If you belong to a Home Owners Association and they choose the contractors to take care of the outside of your home CHECK their references I found out the hard way.
