Description of Work: Beetison proved to be a scam. Took me about $20,000 to correct all the horrible work that he did, including walls, flooring and multiple poor workmanship. He never completed the work. What he did do was inferior in products and workmanship.

Left a hole in the floor for a vent. Ripples in the walls, Roofing had holes and would leak if it had rained. Flooring underneath had no covering, lacking insulation. Did not fulfill the contract on electrical. Went on vacation leaving inadequate supervision with people that applied sheet rock wrong resulting in ripples on the walls. Short nails with the ceilings coming down. The whole sunroom had to be completely redone resulting in $20,000 worth of expense. Took a whole year for them to complete the project, use of money was going to finance "other" projects. UPDATE: This is in addition to the review that was given earlier on Heartland Sunrooms and additions. I have learned that this company with whom I sued, won a settlement for defective work has used pictures as a promotion for their work at a home show. I wish people to know that this man is a scammer and has no right to use pictures of any kind after what this company has done. I am calling my attorney, see what I can do as they have no right after losing the suit, to use any information which was not permitted or given permission in any contract. We terminated them and told them to leave this site and for them to use anything to further their business is unethical. Cost me $20000 to cover the cost of reconstruction and the inferior workmanship.
Description of Work: Poor Material, Poor construction, Poor professionalism. Hired people whose workmanship were inferior.

Response from Heartland Sunrooms
Non of this is true. What is true is that never did fully pay for her addition. She asked if she could make payments on the final bill because she over extended herself and couldn't pay us what she owed. We agreed to work with her. Once the project was complete she got very sketchy and started coming up with excuses. Didn't return phone calls and avoided us completely. She did have an issue with the roof a few years later that was most likely a result from storm damage. did not call us to have it looked at to determine what the exact cause was. (Most likely because she never paid her bill). Instead she hired a different roofing contractor to take care of the issue then tried to get Heartland Sunrooms to pay for it. (which we did). She DID NOT sue us and win a settlement. This is False and an outright lie. I would challenge her to provide any documents stating such. It has been my experience that most times when a person rips another person off that they will do or say anything to justify, in their own minds, the reason for doing so. We have removed pictures completely from our system. This was a mistake on our end and we do apologise for this.

The concrete work was unacceptable, there was dirt pieces in the concrete. The roofer was supposed to provide roofing services on Thursday, December 5, 2013, he has not yet shown up as of December 12, 2013. This has resulted in a lot of water now standing in the new sunroom and the water is now turned to ice due to freezing temperatures. I was told that they would remove all scrap lumber, etc., on December 5, 2013, as of December 12, 2013 none of it has been removed. It has since been covered with 4 to 5 inches of snow and now I cannot locate where anything is.
Description of Work: A new "easy-breeze" sunroom. This included new concrete footings.

Response from Heartland Sunrooms
The dirt on the concrete was on the bottom and not visible from the top. (removed member name) would not even had noticed it unless we hadn't pointed it out to him. (removed member name) was told that if this created any issues with the concrete in the future, that we would take care of it free of charge. If you look at the dates (removed member name) provided, you would notice that this room was built in the middle of WINTER. When it is snowing or sleeting we will not work as to not damage our electrical tools. The lumber that was not picked up was actually frozen to the ground and covered with snow. (removed member name) was told that as soon as it warmed up enough to thaw a little that we would clean it up and we did. The complaint (removed member name) has with the roofer is accurate. (removed member name) had a custom steel shingled roof on his house. We do not deal with this product and had to hire a sub contractor that dealt with this type of product specifically. (Removed member name) was made aware of this BEFORE any deal was struck between him and Heartland Sunrooms. This is an unfortunate thing and the reason why we try to avoid using sub contractors. We have absolutely no control over these people and their employees. I, myself, made several calls in order to get the problem resolved and taken care of. Bottom line is, I feel (removed member name) is or was upset at the time because of the sub contracted roofer and we ultimately took the brunt of it. Did (removed member name) complain to them or give them a negative review? Lesson Learned. I understand that we are the general contractor but (removed member name) has a specific type of shingle on his roof that is not common and very few people are familiar with it.In 15 years, this is only the second roof like this I have come across. Other calls were made by us to other subs but no one was interested in working on his roof in the middle of winter. I'm not sure what else we could have done. We did take steps to weather proof his roof as best we could while we waited for the roofer to do his job.
