RICK'S CUSTOM UPHOLSTERY

Overall it went well. Rick picked up the furniture in December after Christmas, even though they were not going to start on it until February. I wasn't using my furniture at the time, but I was looking for a place to move to. In April, I moved to my new apartment, but had no front room furniture to sit on. I called Rick to find out how the furniture was going.The furniture was stripped and sent to a wood person to have have the wood around the furniture redone as it needed some help. The wood guy refurnished the 4 pieces of furniture that were being reupholstered, a tall corner cabinet, and a small hutch which all were done within a month. I again contacted Rick about the first of May to see how it was going, and to let him know that I had a wedding coming up on June 21st, then I would be out of state for 2 weeks after that. I wanted to see if I would be able to get my furniture before the wedding as I had guests coming from out of state. I was told that there was a hold up on the wood guy end, but the wood guy said it was on Rick's end. Seemed that there was a breakdown in communications between the two of them. It was a week before he returned my call and when he did, a message was left that he was finishing up some work and would be working on my furniture until it was done. This was mid May. The first of June I again called and was told he was finishing up on some other stuff and then he would start my furniture. I really wanted it before the wedding. The Monday before the wedding he said he could have it for my on Friday which was the day before the wedding. I told him we would need to wait till I got back the 5th of July as I was in the middle of the wedding. When I returned in July, I called and the furniture was still not completed. He brought back the two chairs and ottoman on that Wednesday, but I didn't get the couch until Friday of that week. Rick did an exceptional job, but I didn't get my furniture when I needed it. The price was an additional amount which I was not planning for. I do like Rick and the job was more than satisfactory. I just wish it had been in a more timely manner.

Rick did excellent work and was able to complete the job in a very timely manner. Was a pleasure to do business with!

Rick helped me find inexpensive fabric in his inventory. He took the stools, recovered the seats and returned the stools in one afternoon. The quality of the work is excellent. He works by himself and is proud of his work. I would use him again for upholstory.

I have talked to Rick by phone a couple of times and met him at his shop once. He is very personable and easy to talk to. We discussed reuphostering 4 pieces of furniture that our family has had since the 1960s. Rick came to my house on the 19th and measured the furniture and we discussed the wood trim on the furniture. Rick doesnt refurnish wood but he referred me to a gentleman he works with and took my furniture to him for the woodwork and then will have Rick pick up the furniture. Rick lives in Bellvue which is 20 miles from my house. So far the experience has been great. The process will be about a month to complete which is fine as I am not in need of it at this moment. I have seen pictures of Rick's work and work that he was doing in his shop and am anxious to see the furniture when it is done. Will write more when it is complete.

He is a home town guy, and he knows what he is doing. All of his work has just been super. Why not give it to you when you want it. I sure will use his services again in the future.
