We had a great experience with Midwest Homes to re-roof a rental property. They did a great job advising me about the damage and making an insurance claim, and the crew did a very professional job. I would highly recommend them.

They came, they did the work, good quality. Unfortunately they let themselves down a little for communication. I did not know when they came out, and I also wanted an estimate wrote before so I could submit to insurance. It caused a lot of headaches that could have been avoided. Communication is King! They did do a good job, and they did charge a decent rate, I would give them a second chance if needed, as they were good. Friendly local people.

My inquiry was promptly answered and they had a man at my home that very day. Dirk completed the roof inspection as requested, answering my questions precisely to my satisfaction.

We had to go through and exhaust the entire HomeAdvisor arbitration process with this company because they refused to make things right with us, and still to this day, nothing has been resolved as of 11/20/2019. They contested my review on three different occasions, knowing that it would automatically be pulled from the website each time while under mandatory HomeAdvisor dispute policy review. Each time, however; I proved all 9 items that I reported with pictures and videos. In addition, since then, they even tried to impersonate me on the phone with a HomeAdvisor Rep and get this review changed. How do I know this? I received an email from that rep, thanking me for talking with her about this review. The problem was, I never contacted H.A. since posting my original review several months ago. Even though they contested this review, with my proof, they could never dispute or deny any the following: Joe OConnor, who told me he owned the company, CURSED ME, calling me a derogatory name, because I yelled at him for the reckless damage (I now verified to be over $2,500.00) that they did to my house. MY reality with them was a horrible experience and I have proven with those pictures and videos submitted to H.A. of what they will do if they think no one is watching them or holding their feet to the fire: 1. Breaking one slab section of concrete in my driveway when they backed up a multi-ton dump truck to the house. 2. Cut down my satellite dish off the roof, after sending Joe 2 emails telling him how concerned we were about it because my testing job depends on it. Put me out of work for 3 days. 3. Threatened me with a Contractors Lien on my house, not because we would not pay, but because he could not take the criticism for all the damages they were doing to my house. Then, to flex his contractors muscles, he did pull his crew off for two weeks, leaving our house with partial gutters and fascia boards flapping in the wind. He then called my wife and said that he was not dealing with me anymore, and demanded $9,300.00 before he would come back and finish the gutters. Originally, when he was COMPETING for our work, he said I had a TWO-DAY job, and NO MONEY was required until we were 100% satisfied with their work. After we signed the contract and were committed, however; out of spite, that changed to over TWO AND A HALF WEEKS, once he had us over a barrel with materials torn halfway off the house. I found that one day he is throwing curse words at me, the next he is offering discounts because he realized he crossed the line, and the next, to save face, he wants us to now start working with another employee named Mike, because even Joe himself was shaking his head over the blunders his crew admitted to him. 4. Never put tarps around the house during demo which left debris, screws, nails, metal clippings and shingles inside my AC unit and all around the house. 5. One vent stack was pushed over in my attic so it vented into my attic space, plus demo debris fell into our two bathroom vents causing them to seize up until I unclogged them. 6. Covered up black rotting fascia wood with siding instead of fixing it or asking me to replace it. I never would have known this if they did the job in TWO DAYS, but because he pulled his men off our project, the wind exposed their true practices. 7. Broke an upstairs window. 8. I have the ONLY NEW roof on the block that does not account for the high winds here. Every other house that has been re-shingled uses the wind direction to pin down shingle edges, whereas mine are just the opposite. We are replacing a 20-year shingle already at year 12, so them duplicating the original layout does not inspire confidence for the future. 9. Broke J-mold vinyl siding pieces off house and to this day, never fixed it like he promised. With all of this now in hind site and seeing how they handle their business, I personally, will never hire them.

Shane from Midwest Homes was prompt and courteous. The job was finished on time and to my satisfaction. I would recommend this company to anyone needing roofing work.

He didn't file for the new license with the county and did not pull a permit. The roofers damaged the siding on my house and drywall inside the house during the window installation. Now he is not returning any of my calls or emails.

This vinyl siding was installed summer 2017. It is an excellent product, the guys worked very hard, cleaned up well and my house looks beautiful. Joe O'Connor was great to work with. I have used Midwest Homes twice now. A year ago 2017 I hired them to install vinyl siding on my 35 year old house. The workers did an excellent job, my home looks beautiful. This year 2018 I have had to hire them again because of hail damage to my roof. And again the workers worked very hard, did a good job, and their clean up was fantastic. Working with the company's Denver General Manager Joe O'Conner was great. Joe was very helpful, explained everything to me, and even met with me and the insurance adjuster for the roof. I am very happy with Midwest Homes.

Joe from Midwest Homes showed up on time to meet my insurance adjuster which I truly appreciated. Great communication with them. Workers showed up, kept perimeter clean, and dropped materials where requested. I would definitely recommend them for the roofing and gutter replacement.

My roofing permit just passed inspection through the city! I could not be more pleased with this company. From start to finish Joe O'Connor was available to answer all my questions and concerns. He worked with my insurance and made the entire process run smoothly. I was impressed with the professionalism and speed with which his crew works. I would highly recommend Midwest home and plan to use them on another roofing project for my second home. Worth every dollar!!!

Hired them to do the work. Although the overall experience was good and when expressed my concerns to the changes and did fully comply.

They never pulled a permit. Gave me a bid for gutters and wouldn’t do them. Workers pulled skylights and left a huge mess.

Did a great job replacing my roof and gutters for house and shed due to hail damage. Worked with my insurance company and gave me a walkthrough of the project from start to finish.

They are very reasonable and work long hours to complete job in short order. Joe is very easy to work with very personable.

These guys did a good gob fixing my siding and was able to debulged / reduce swelling and replace water damaged board

Corey showed up when he said he would---I know--that has been a problem for us getting work done so we appreciate it. I think he came within less than a week from the time I got on Home Advisor. I had waited two months for the last guy, so this was really great customer service. AND he did a great job--a real pro. We would definitely hire Midwest again.

I cannot express enough how impressed I was with Midwest Homes services. Joe O'Connor displayed exceptional customer services, showed up when he said he would, everything he said he could do he did. Folllow-ed up to make sure job was done to my satisfaction and there was one small thing not completed, he arranged to have it completed and it was done when he committed to having it done. His team also exception, not only did the supplies show up when he said they would, the team showed up early and cleaned up impeccable. I have already recommended them to others including my insurance company. Best contractor I have ever worked with.

Not only did they do a great job, but were in communication with me consistently throughout the entire process. I didn't have to wonder if they were showing up, which was my experience with other contractors. Highly recommend for any of your home needs!

The work was done quickly, and efficiently. Some of the smaller detail work took more time, due to poor communication on my part. A good job well done.

We've all had those horrible contractor experiences that make us uneasy about the next home improvement project. Fortunately for me on my house siding project with Midwest Homes, I can say it was one of the best contractor experiences I have had. This was a BIG project that included removing my old siding and putting on new James Hardie siding and then painting my house. Not only is the end product beautiful, the process was great as well. First, Joe was great to work with and was always willing to answer questions. Corey (the on-site project manager) and his team were true professionals. They showed up on time and worked very hard. They were courteous, respectful, clean, and answered all of my questions/addressed all of my requests without argument or delay. The entire team worked so hard and I could tell they really took pride in what they were doing and the final product. Finally, Midwest Homes didn't take payment until the project and walkthrough was complete. This is a testament to the quality service they provide and their confidence in their worker's skills and work ethic. In summary, based on my experience I would recommend Midwest Homes (specifically Corey and his crew) for a siding replacement and painting project.

Prompt, professional, everything done as promised and cleaned up after themselves! Replaced roof, replaced metal siding with vinyl siding, replaced gutters, replaced exterior trim and replaced three windows. Wonderful work.

I have multiple jobs that need to be done; so far they replaced the damaged roof and broken skylight and that was done within one week after I contacted them. I was told the rest of the work would be done within another couple of weeks. Very pleased so far; my roof looks great! All were courteous, friendly, and respectful, and they listened to what I had to say.
