John did a great job and he is very knowledgeable about installing doors. My back doors were installed and aligned correctly and they both open and close with ease. My front doors were installed by someone else and I now realize that some people can say they know how to install a door but that is not always true. The front storm door frame was not set correctly by the other person (it was off by a few inches) and that person never came back to fix it when I realized it was wrong. John had to find a way to re-position the latch so it would line up and shut. I know this may not be a permanent solution for this storm door but he at least got it to shut for now. I will definitely contact him again for other services in the future.

Where to start! I have used John for several projects in the last couple of months. Let me back up with some history. I am renovating (not restoring) a 100 year old house that has only had a kitchen face lift in the mid 50's. I have been working on this since August of 2013. I have had hundreds of contractors come through for bids and a few I ended up hired. Of the dozen actually hired contractors, my electrician I would recommned 100%, my plumber 80% and I would not recommend a single other contractor I have hired. John is exceptional. He is a and quot;handy manand quot; but does everything if he is able to do. He will tell you if he is not. He will tell you if you need to go with someone else or if he can bring in someone to work for him to do the job. To start off, John finished up some tricky drywall pass throughs and walkways that my hired contractor never completed. He mudded and smoothed. He also planed down all of my inside window frames and trimmed them out. I orginally had lathe and plaster and replaced with drywall. The old window frames stuck out at odd angles and had to be planed down in order for trim to be applied. He also did baseboards and trimmed the new interior doors. A month or so later I ended up in a pinch and needed about 6yds of concrete ASAP (foundation wall issue and sidewalks around the corner of house where water was getting). He doesn't usually do this type of work but boy does it look good. He brough guys in to work the concrete and brought a professional onboard to do the concrete finishing work so it has been done by a pro. The most recent issue was where the water puddle at the front of the house was seeping under the concrete and getting into my crawl space. We had to form a micro trench in the new concrete to get the water to drain so that the radon mitigation company could do their work. This last bit had to be executed within 4 days and John pulled it off. With all of the money I have put into this remodel, I save money anywhere I can. I offer to do as much labor as John will let me to help the jobs move along and get completed. He has helped me when the history of the use of contractors for me have been rather dismal. On this latest concrete job I know I gave him extra than he was expecting and I would do it again because he has saved my butt several times so far. He is amazing. He has been super swamped with work lately but that is just a good indicator that he does a good job. He won't tell you he will be there and then blow you off. If he can't fit you in and do a great job he will tell you. It is really hard to find contractors that will work in Bellevue NE due to the very strict city requirements. If you find a good one you have to keep them. Most companies won't even return your call when you tell them you live in Bellevue, or they will just refuse do any work.

He set an appointment with me quickly. He asked questions for clarification of what we would like done. He stated the project would be to big for him to do by himself but could have another person assist. He never got back to us with an estimate or told us he would not want the job. It was frustrating because I liked him and the pictures he showed us made it clear he did good work.

The bid was $200. He was honest and straightforward. He was very personable and easy to work with. I decided to get a bid from them because he had done work on my neighbor's house and did well.

We had an excellent experience working with John. He was honest, hard working, punctual and does REALLY great work.

I didn't actually get any work done, but John was responsive to my call for an estimate. Further, when I left a voicemail to cancel the estimate appointment because we ended up going with another drywall provider, John texted me back a professional message. He said that he received my voicemail and that if I have any other remodeling needs in the future to please keep him in mind. I thought that the professionalism displayed should be noted here on the List. Thanks.

John is a do it all kind of guy. Give him a challenge and he will research it and make it happen. I met John this past spring when I was getting bids on drywall for a flip house. He wasn't the cheapest of my quotes but I had a feeling he would do the best quality work and I was right! I was impressed with his character and the quality of his work on the flip house so we hired him to finish our 1500 sq ft. basement. He was at our house off and on over a 6 month period. He was very patient with us as well as we were the ones holding up the project on many occasions. He was very flexible and was always there for us when we and quot;pulled the plugand quot; for work to begin. At first we were just going to have him do the framing and drywall and then we just kept adding things to his to do list as we discovered all of his many talents. He ended up doing all the framing, drywall, taking out a sliding door and installing a french door, installing cabinets, backsplash, designing and tiling a shower, closets, tiled the floor, and put down a rubber gym floor along with many other things! We had hired a designer to help with the over all design and found out John had some better ideas and ended up using a lot of his suggestions. He is experienced, very creative and his integrity is first class. John is very neat and cleans up after himself nearly everyday. He is very thorough, cautious and thoughtful of others. He was always looking out for the next guy so they wouldn't have issues, e.g.: the plumber, electrician, painter, security, carpet layer etc. We are very happy with this company and plan to use them for several more projects and hopefully flip houses. I have down that our last contact with John was Christmas Eve day. That's because we were hosting Christmas and it was our goal to get the basement done by this time. Throughout the past 6 months John worked many Saturdays and even some Sundays at critical timings. His electricians, Matt and Zac, and John finished up every last bit Christmas eve morning. as we had last minute lighting and materials come in that weekend. They cleaned up Christmas eve morning just in time for us to host. We took the paper off the floor and revealed a wonderful living space. We were ecstatic! He was pleasant, on time, and courteous. Though I decided to do the work myself (for my own reasons that had nothing to do with John) I would definitely recommend him. If you want all the information up front, he is the person to go with.

He came to the house and spent a lot of time. He was very knowledgeable, but he might have been a little over experienced. He wasn't a salesman, but he kept pitching quite heavily. Unfortunately, he had a family emergency, so he couldn't get back to me with an estimate and I didn't hear from him for a while. In the meantime, I selected somebody else to do it. Then I got his estimate with the e-mail explaining that he had an emergency and estimate was fairly priced. However, I felt that he didn't have much experience with the drywall and he was just a little wary about giving me the product I wanted. I think he probably is good for very general repair with moderate finish.

They did a great great job. I would definitely recommend them.

John provided a very competative bid and completed the project on budget. John is very profesional, friendly, and pays attention to detail, including making sure building codes and permits are maintained. Also, in our experience, John went the extra mile above our expectations. We are extremely satisfied with our home modifications and new cedar deck. The deck is very solid and feels like it will last a lifetime. All in all, I'd say John provides very solid work at a good value. Will not hesitate to hire John for other projects.
