Oasis Landscapes

It went great. They redesigned the backyard. They also designed a patio area. They were very professional.

Initially contacted Oasis on 1/8/2013 as we were anxious to get our yard landscaped as soon as possible, to get out from under the mud. Work was not completed until 8/2/2013. There were at least 5 other homes in the neighborhood that had sod installed before ours, and it got delayed a few weeks even longer because they dragged their feet, then wanted to finish the irrigation the day after our next door neighbor had his new sod put in. They expected the neighbor to stop their watering so they could complete the work. I said we would not impose that on our neighbor and they would have to wait. It never should have come to that. We also expected to have a short and small 10x10 deck with a few steps installed, and found we had to deal with the deck guy separately. It cost us over $7,000 to Premium Decks for that small deck in addition to the $13,000 we paid Oasis. We also had the lovely surprise of an extra $1,000 on the final invoice for extra dirt and labor. It was mentioned in a vague manor on previous invoices, but we were never notified of any specific extra dollar amount for the dirt prior to the work . It seems like it was very poor, or lack of, judgment on the original bid, or maybe done intentionally. No way to know. Also, the irrigation people accidentally cut our cable. We came home to no TV, no phone, and no internet which we need for remote access to our work computer. We were without service for 2 days, and I was the one that got stuck having to deal with moving those repairs along. Seemed like the landscaper made one call about it, then washed his hands of it. HE should have been the one taking responsibility to fix the problem. I wound up having to make several calls from work to the irrigation guy. We also had numerous plants, one tree, and mulch installed. A couple of the plants died. It was our fault for not asking about a warranty, but the landscaper never checked on them once they were in the ground. Now it looks like some of his recommended choices may not have been the best. I cannot in good faith recommend using this company for your landscaping needs. The landscaper was not very involved, pretty much doing the minimum after the first consultation - hardly ever checking on our satisfaction. A couple of his employees seemed to spend more time joking around than working. And getting a nice $1,000 extra surprise on the final bill was hardly any fun. Still no word from him since he received final payment 3 weeks ago. Way overpriced and poor service. We have had landscapers in the past that were totally involved from start to finish, and concerned about our continuing satisfaction. This was an entirely different experience, trust me. We realize it was a long winter, but when you see other work in the neighborhood being completed in a timely manner, you realize you picked the wrong company. Unfortunately, Oasis was chosen because of someone I work with, although I don't believe he could vouch for the quality of work. I will be sure to spread the word. Hire Oasis at your own risk.
