Description of Work: Hired Delan as general contractor for: Floors, painting, gas line, garage heater install, reslant roof. Roof was perfect. Gas line & heater was okay. No landscaping done where they dug trench. Had to relay pavers & rocks myself. Heater had to be readjusted so you could open the door. Painter was impossible to get ahold of & probably as good as some college painters. Had to go & get some of the paint, remove & place outlet covers back on myself. All the floors have to be replaced. Complete shoddy job(Solutions: floors, blinds, & more). So bad Delan didn't charge us the $30,000 it was suppose to cost. At least we didn't have to pay for it. Job went 31+days past scheduled completion date. Overall, not the quality we were hoping for, went way past our scheduled date (and still have to have the floors redone), required too much of my own participation (doing some of the work myself / delegating how it should be done correctly).

This is now the 3rd time we've hired Dakota Carpentry for a project, and we are still thrilled with the quality and professionalism of their work as always. We had this completed as part of a home inspection agreement prior to selling our home. The work around the chimney was done very well and the price came out exactly as quoted. Delon showed up with his crew on time and communicated well throughout the process. We'll definitely use them again for any future projects we may have in our new home!
Description of Work: Repaired rotted wood & flashing surrounding chimney, replaced siding on entire upper portion of chimney.

Did a wonderful job. Highly recomended. Hope to use them again this summer. Went above and beyond expectations. They threw in some extras for free.

They did a great job. Their estimate was right on. They came and did it and cleaned up after themselves. It was wonderful. They came earlier than they said they would and that was good.
Description of Work: Dakota Carpentry fixed the trim around the garage and they had to take the siding off and replace the under board that was up there and then they put it all back.

They are very conscientious with their work. They made a great match with the job I had them do, I was impressed. The entertainment center really looks great now. I would definately use them again in the future.

Worked quickly the shelves/cabinets are hung well, and look nice.

Delan and his crew did a fantastic job, start to finish. Very professional, I am very pleased. They showed up exactly when they said they would and he was very responsive and communicative throughout the whole process. Their work is solid and looks amazing, and they finished within the time frame initially estimated. We did have a little 'hiccup' with the insurance and ended up having to pay more than was initially estimated because the deductible was not calculated in the total (the insurance company had already removed the amount of the deductible). It was a misunderstanding on our part as well as Delan's, and he really tried to meet us halfway in rectifying it. He gave us a bit more time to pay the extra amount due as well, which was very much appreciated. Nearly 2 years later, our no-maintenance deck still looks amazing and we have enjoyed many hours on it!
Description of Work: Delan was hired as a subcontractor from our insurance claim after our deck collapsed from the weight of extreme winter snowfall. We had lived in the house for 1 year, and didn't know what poor shape the deck was really in. Delan showed us how badly rotted the footings were and how pointed out some design flaws the previous plan had. He then redesigned the deck (slightly smaller) and used no-maintenance materials to construct a new one.

Delan and his son showed up on time as promised. The quality of their work was excellent and was actually done ahead of schedule. I plan on using him again in the very near future.
