Upon calling I had to leave a message, and to my surprise my call was returned in a very timely manner. They were able to come and give us an estimate the next day. They actually started work as soon as a price was agreed upon. Norstegaard did not have a specific part to complete the job for a same day completion. We were told the part would be in the next day - the workers arrived early the next day and the job was comp, eyed. Thank you. We would most definitely consider your establishment for future electrical needs.

We bought a new construction house in 2013. A couple of months after we moved in, one of the breakers tripped, and would not turn back on. Since our house was still under warranty, the contractor who built the house gave us the cell phone number of an electrician with Norstegaard, who did the original wiring. The electricians showed up an hour before the scheduled time, but didn't call ahead to let us know or ask if we would be home (fortunately we were). They told us our problem was typically caused by a simple issue in the wiring of the light switches. They checked a couple of the switches, found the issue and fixed it. However, in the following months, we had repeated issues with the same breaker. The breaker would trip, but it seemed like if we waited a little bit, maybe unplugged some things and tried again, we could turn it back on. This happened around 3 or 4 times during the spring/summer. The first 2 times, we tried calling Norsteggaard's main number and leaving a message, but no one ever contacted us back. We didn't bother following up, because each time the breaker would start working again on its own. Recently, the breaker tripped again, and we could not get it to turn back on the way we had before. I tried calling Norstegaard twice (during business hours), but no one answered, and I didn't want to leave a message, since no one had responded to my previous messages. By this time, our house was no longer under warranty anyways, so I called a different company to take a look at the problem. The electrician from the new company explained that the issue was due to an arc fault. He ended up taking apart every switch and outlet on that circuit, and showed me several things that could have been causing the fault. There were several wires where the insulation had been nicked with a blade, and only some of them had been fixed with electrical tape. Also some of the wires feeding the switches/outlets were connected very loosely, so that if they moved just slightly, they would connect/disconnect; which is why we could sometimes make the breaker work by unplugging things and fiddling with the light switches. He said it was very sloppy workmanship, and although I am not an expert, it seems like an accurate assessment to me. I am not pleased that we had issues with Norstegaard's original wiring to begin with. Additionally, if Norstegaard had been more thorough on their first visit, or had been easier to schedule, this issue could have been taken care of during the warranty period, and we would not have had to pay someone else to come in and fix it.
Description of Work: Did the original electrical wiring for our new construction house, came back to fix an issue with a breaker that tripped repeatedly.
