Description of Work: Install Gutters

Description of Work: Gutters and downspouts were installed on the front of the house with an angled apron. Plus an addidtional downspout in the back of the house.

Description of Work: The intial service was fine. An estimate was completed and everything seemed normal. On the day of the service when I came home from work, Pulled my car in the driveway as normal. I needed to go out after later in the day. Got in the car and saw the light on the dashboard indicating a flat tire. Low and behold, rear tire was completely flat. I then noticed a large amount of screws all over the area. These were the screws used to put up the new gutters. I had a walk around the house and some a crazy amount of parts, screws, and trash from the job they did. Worst part is they didnt install the downspouts! what good is a gutter with no downspouts!

Description of Work: I called to have gutters installed on my home. A crew from Gowan happened to be in my area that day and wanted to install on that day. I had to ask for an estimate, otherwise the installer was not going to provide an estimate before beginning installation. I told the owner, Dave Gowan, that I had angled facia and he stated that that would not be a problem to install the gutters. After installation the gutters appeared to be sharply angled, twisted, and you can see into the gutter in spots. The man leading the installation crew stated to call with questions or concerns. The crew left and I called immediately with questions regarding how poorly the gutters looked because they look as if they are falling off of the house. The installer stated that that was the best he could do due to the slope of our house. Upon closer look the installers also drilled many holes into the new gutter apron while trying to adjust the gutter and the down spouts are mounted several feet above the ground making it impossible to use an extender to direct rain water away from the house. The next day I called Dave Gowan and asked him to please look into correcting our gutters so that they hang straight, are not at such an angle, and to spend more time on the wedges on the angled facia so that the gutter is not twisted. Dave Gowan was very arrogant on the phone and did not want to address any reasons why I might be unhappy with the installation of the gutters. Upon further calls to remedy the problems with the gutter installation, Dave Gowan did agree to come to my home himself and assess the gutter installation and if we could not come to an agreement Dave stated he would remove the gutters and return my money. This has been over two months ago and Dave Gowan has not contacted me to come to my home to look at the gutters his company installed on my house. I would not recommend getting gutters from Gowan Rain Gutter. The price would have been good, the product appears to be good quality, but the installation was poor and it has been impossible to address concerns.
