They were awesome. They were at my home within 2 hours of calling them. It was well below zero when there were on my roof but kept at it until well after dark so my family would be nice and warm. I couldn't thank them enough.

Professional, courteous, expedient. Looked over existing systems, stated he would mail estimate to me. Received estimate next day. Very good, however, estimate was written in 3 lines. No cost itemization. One dollar amount was on the estimate...the total. Is it me or are itemized estimates a thing of the past?

Went very well, prompt and friendly.

We had a 20-year-old fuel oil furnace which started making funny noises when we went to use it at the beginning of a very chilly season. I called for a general maintenance inspection with the noises as a sidenote, since the furnace needed yearly servicing anyway. Another company failed to even show up as scheduled (another story), so I was flailing for help at the last minute. Dave came out within a day or two and fully serviced a system most companies won't even touch anymore. He did mention it would be better to go with gas, which we already knew but decided we couldn't afford. (The chill of the 2012-2013 and exorbitant raise in the cost of fuel convinced us we couldn't afford NOT to switch this year.) He got right down to business and finished up within an hour, but of course the furnace refused to produce an example of the noises while he was here. He told me to call him if the noises started again, and when they did, he came back over and worked it over until he found the source of the problem. He also called me over to show and explain all the basics of the system and why it wasn't working properly. --and gt; Changes on the thermostat to raise the temperature were supposed to cause the furnace and fan to kick on at specific intervals. He had me change it and listen to how it wasn't coming on at the right time. Then he took me to the furnace and showed me how a switch on the control board for the fan was switching off as soon as it turned on. He manually held the connection to show me how it should be working and explained that the control board was faulty and needed replacing. These parts aren't easy to find, but he got a hold of one and was back the next day. Dave was kind of genial and gruff at the same time. The trustworthiness I sensed in his voice over the phone was only further exemplified in person. He wasn't charging me for little things left and right, either. I don't believe I could have gotten the same quality of work almost anywhere else, and certainly not for what he charged. I even paid a little more than he asked because it was so much lower than competitors. If we hadn't purchased a new furnace which requires our installation company to service for our warranty, I would call him again without question. Disclaimer: I'm sorry to say I'm not 100% that his name was Dave, but I'm like 98%.

My experience with them was fine. He was prompt and thorough.

Fast, quick, and easy. While he wasn't the most professional, a little sloppy looking, he's in the HVAC business, so can you really blame him? I'm sure there are all kinds of messy/dirty places he's asked to go into.

So far so good will update after the install is done.
