SCENIC LANDSCAPING

Description of Work: Landscaping, sprinkler installation, Curbing, Planting of trees and shrubs, some sod, install 3 planters.

Description of Work: We chose Scenic Landscaping after requesting bids from three providers last fall. Although their bid was a bit higher than the other one we received, we chose Scenic because Andy scheduled an appointment to do the estimate at a time when I could be home to meet with him. He had rock samples in the back of his truck that he matched up with the house's brick trim, siding, and existing curb edging. The second company came when I wasn't home and sent a bid in the mail. I liked the more personal service of Scenic. |This spring they contracted with another contractor to install curb edging along the south side of our garage to match curbing that had been installed in the rest of our planting beds several years ago. Then they removed the existing bark mulch from extensive planting beds in our front yard, filled low spots and sloped dirt away from foundation as needed. Finally, they installed weed barrier fabric and 1.5 inches of rock. |I would have rated them an A except for some communication issues before the job started and the fact that they didn't come prepared to flag the perennials that I wanted saved. I just happened to have some garden flags on hand that they were able to use to mark them. But there weren't enough to go around. And even though I was reassured that some of the perennials were big enough that the workers would know that I wanted them saved, the word wasn't communicated to all the workers, and they ended up digging up or covering up some of the ones that weren't flagged.

Description of Work: I used Scenic Landscaping yesterday. They created a flower bed for me, they put in edging, brought in dirt, cut up sod all of it for the flower bed.

Description of Work: Scenic Landscaping provided us with a detailed plan. It included a cobblestone patio, lighting, curbing, plantings,sprinkler system, boulders, pea gravel around our play structure, and rock in the planting beds. His plan also included a berm that added a lot of visual impact in the front of our house.

Description of Work: They took out the old rock, put down new plastic, put in some new plants, moved some plants around, and put down new rock.
