It's true that Pro-Lawn can be a bit difficult to communicate with, but we've had only a very simple service with no time constraints: I call and ask to have our lawn aerated (the single most important step to achieving a healthy lawn). Sometimes I leave a message, in which case I have gotten call-backs. I don't think I did get a firm date in advance of service, but for aeration, it was irrelevant; the tech waited till the soil conditions were appropriate (we'd had some rain) then came out and did the job. We've been very impressed with their thoroughness. This year, after discussion about strip-seeding, Pro-Lawn aerated the steep side of the d*** in our yard. We thought the price was surprisingly reasonable. The bill was left at our door, so there was no need for us to be home at the time of service.
Description of Work: Aerated lawn two years in a row.

We had them spray in 2010 but had an issue with them not letting us know they were coming to spray also they left no flags on lawn. Two weeks later we received a bill in the mail that they sprayed but no one ever saw them. They said they came on a Sunday and we took them at there word and gave them the benefit of the doubt. The lady on the phone reassured us they were here. She also said the flags must have blown out due to the wind. (By the way I explained to her during our initial phone conversation in 2010 we need a call before they came and sprayed.) We did pay them for that service in 2010. Winter of 2011 i received a letter stating if we paid early for two applications there would be a discount. So i called the front office to let them know i was interested but needed reassurance they would call before they came. I felt after our conversation none on that would happen again so i paid for two applications ,one for spring and one for fall. $502.00 It was around mid June 2011 when i was asked by my boss when our lawn was going to get sprayed because it was looking very bad. I called Pro Lawn and they said they already sprayed over a week ago on a weekend. I was not happy due to we were not told they were coming , our lawn fried up up due to no watering and no flags were out to let us know they were here. I asked to speak to the manager and he said she would call me back. After waiting two days i called and left a message to call me back. Still no answer after a week so i tried again and she picked up the phone and when i was explaining to her what happened she interrupted me and said i was being difficult to work with and should have watered my lawn. She wanted no part of our initial conversations that took place in 2010 and again in 2011. Her attitude was very rude and would not let me talk at all ,then she hung up on me ,she got caught with her hand in the cookie jar and didn't know how to deal with it. I had to leave a message on her phone to cancel my second application in the fall and to send us check for $251.00. It took almost 2 months for us to receive it . The lady i talked to said she was the owner of Pro Lawn. Watch what you pay for ,cheaper is not always better !
Description of Work: We have a business that we have sprayed twice a year. We paid up front for 2 weed and feed spraying in 2011. $504.00 total (One application for spring and one for Fall) Call and let us know when they were coming to spray our lawn. That way we would know when they were here and could have our lawn cut and also make sure we properly water. They were to leave flags in lawn to let others know it has been sprayed. (Standard practice of most if not all lawn businesses is to put flags out to let people know chemicals have been applied to the lawn)

Pro Lawn was very professional every time I talked with them over the phone. Once I decided to go with them after their free estimate on my lawn they had the Aeroration done within 3 days. The first spray application was about 3 days after that. They always made sure to call me the day before they came in to do the work as well just so I knew to keep my dogs inside as much as possible that day. Within a day all of the dandelions were all tipped over and were losing their color. About a month later now the lawn looks great compared to what it was before. I also live on a corner lot with a larger then average lawn, but their prices still come in at least $15 - $20 cheaper than most other places. I would highly recommend this company to others.
Description of Work: I had Pro Lawn do Aeroration and spray fertilizer on my lawn. I purchased their annual package for the fertilizer which gets me 4 applications throughout the year at a discounted rate. This covers weed control as well. This put’s it at about $40 per application. The Aeroration was $60 which I found to be cheaper than most other places in Fargo by about $20.

A friend recommended Pro Lawn for fertilizing and killing weeds in my lawn, because their prices were so good that it was not much more expensive than buying and spreading his own fertilizer. After using their services for a fully summer, I completely agree! They come at appropriate times during the year to spray, based on the number of times you've requested. This year, I will also be having them aerate, but that hasn't happened yet so I won't comment on that until later!
