The work they performed was just horrible. Much of the work seemed to be done by day labor types... nice guys but didn't have a clue what they were doing. Workmanship is just amazingly bad, and that is a step up from how they had it originally... we had to badger them constantly to get the work "up to" the level of "bad". Plus, they still aren't done. We're nine months into this fiasco and they STILL ARE NOT DONE! Theses guys just don't have a clue what they're doing.

We have hired Accent for both housekeeping services and handyman services. The housekeeping department has been wonderful to work with. They're timely, they do good work, the pricing is reasonable, and the manager is very friendly and responsive. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the handyman department. While Accent has been very good about sending out a handyman in a very timely manner, we have had difficulty getting our scheduled tasks completed -- even when we leave a detailed list or describe, in person, exactly what needs to be done. The work that is done is typically high quality, if erroneous. (For example, the correct light bulb still has not been replaced. But I can't complain about the other one they fixed.) However, we will never again hire Accent's handymen because of the highly inflated prices. We have been charged for several hours of labor for tasks that should have taken a few minutes -- and that we know only took a few minutes because we were on the premisis. We have also been charged -- a lot of money -- for the incorrect light bulb replacement. When it comes to billing inquiries or disputes, we have found Accent's handyman department to be unresponsive.

Went well, looks great, was exactly what I wanted. I felt the price for maybe an hour worth of work was a little spendy, but it was done right. They were professional, cleaned up after themselves, and got the job done quickly.

Took over 2 months to comlete project. Was told they were going to scrape and retexture the entire kitchen ceiling due to water damage. They ended up trying to blend texturing and failed miserably. When I told them we were not paying for the portion of what they didn't do, they took us to small claims court. They lost.

Accent provided an estimate to install the door that I provided, and it wasn't too unreasonable. Once the contractor arrived, we discovered that Lowe's gave me the wrong size door. Instead of taking the easy route and getting paid to do nothing for an hour while I ran to get the door replaced, the contractor looked at the door jamb. He said it didn't look too bad, and he could easily repair it instead. So after a quick trip to get the wood needed to repair the jamb, he returned and had it repaired in a couple of hours. Not only did the work he did cost less than replacing the entire door, but it was done much faster. In the end, the "big bad corp" that I thought would bilk me ended up being more concerned about my bottom line. They saved me money, time, and the repair looked great! I have used Accent several times since and have been happy every time. Both with their staff and the companies they contract out to for electrical and plumbing.
