Fantastic job!! Excellent at getting it done and someone you can trust!! THAT can be hard to find these days!! I first called Eric about 5-6 yrs ago, cooling had went out on my heat pump! I have MS so, heat makes me physically sick!! I'm also disabled, on a fixed income! Eric was honest and clear about any cost through it all!! He had said my heatpump would need to be replaced at some point! It worked 5-6 yrs after Eric worked on it. When it finally went totally out, I never even thought to call anyone else!! I trust Eric's work so much, I make sure to always have his number, saved! To trust any repair business, that's rare for me!! You can depend on Eric's work!!

To all those interested. This is my input towards the recent completion of my HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) inspection and installation project that turned out absolutely 5 Star positive. This outcome would not have been possible without the attention to detail in examining the condition of the existing air handler and heat pump arrangement, noting the problems of the components, and recommending a solution to address the current condition and to avoid potential operational problems. Eric Gibbs, GIBBS Heat and Air, has an extensive knowledge of all aspects of HVAC systems allowing him to pinpoint problems and assess the overall health of a system including all the various components. Eric explained: like an automobile engine, a heating/cooling system has connecting pipes, tubes, wires etc. linking electrical components monitoring pressure, temperature, sensors, and the list could go on. With this level of complexity, I was not even going to get involved with any diagnosis or repair/replacement, and therefore my search started for locating a HVAC professional. To my disappointment, using opinions and experiences of others, the list of reputable and dependable HVAC organizations were few. I found GIBBS Heat and; Air from the Home Advisor list and read the past reviews of others. As a person who has worked on past government projects, I prepared a summary of the work to be done which amounted to a full inspection of my heating/cooling plant to assess its current condition. My primary purpose was to confirm or question an earlier assessment made by another HVAC individual who was rather vague in describing the problems and was extremely quick to recommend a brand new total system. Eric listened to my concerns and then made a thorough inspection talking to me as he examined each component. Bottom line; some components were just fine, the other issues about the air handler and heat pump were questionable. We discussed his findings at length and Eric provided positive suggestions with full explanation what might be the result of a repair versus a replacement. We talked about costs, availability, time to implement, warranty, and Eric handled all my questions or got back to me with answers of questions he wanted to look up first; a mark of a smart man. I appreciated the full business approach making me more confident that GIBBS Heat and Air was the top-quality firm that others had suggested on in Home Advisor. Feeling rather confident during this initial visit; a total cost was calculated and new system scheduling was arranged without hesitation. Again, since HVAC is not anything that I can master with my senior years, Eric and his crew, Christen and Nate, provided the desired peace of mind that comes with an encounter with someone who knows what to do. The disassembly of the old equipment, installation of the new equipment, clean-up, etc. was handled in a proficient manner and all the while, Eric was pointing out how everything was coming together in perfect fashion which allowed me to breathe easily. All my questions were answered. In summary, for your consideration in planning your HVAC projects or in your state of a HVAC-related emergency, I would highly recommend GIBBS Heat and Air if you desire a professional who is willing to listen, but equally important, to suggest and implement any creative ideas that would be part of a complete heating/cooling problem solution. There are many HVAC contractors that can do or say they can handle complicated heating/cooling situations, but not many that take on a task and team with a client in from the beginning and put pride into the work as though it were his own project. We had one of our A/C units starting to fail in a property we just purchased. Eric came out quickly to assess the damage and we decided to have him replace the unit. He was able to get the old unit charged up long enough to get us by and then replaced it with a far better unit. Once the other one dies, we'll have him out again to upgrade that one too! UPDATE 4/25/2018 // Central A/C - Install: BEST Heat & Air servicer in WNC! Time and time again, Eric has bailed me out of A/C and Heat issues. We purchased a home near Asheville last year with older A/C units. One of them completely died in the hot summer and Eric was out immediately to resolve the issue. He provided a quick temporary fix while we waited for a replacement unit to come in. Still waiting on the other one to die on us since it's so old, but he is been saving us tons of money by keeping it going until we need to replace it. We've been having some issues for about a week and life has been so crazy that I did not get a chance to call him until this morning. He squeezed us in same day and fixed the issues very quickly! Eric is honest, extremely reliable, very prompt, and is our go-to contractor for all of our Heat & Air needs. Highly recommended! I'm so glad we found our guy... we will definitely continue to use him.
