We had out 18 year old HVAC system replaced. Using Angie's List, five local vendors provided estimates. Most estimates were very close in price. One or two were 35% higher than average for similar equipment. We chose Comfort Master because they provided the highest quality equipment at a very competitive price. Installation went smoothly as did a followup adjustment.

The entire process from estimate to installation took only two weeks. Greg came over and went over all of the details helping me pick the most cost effective solution. Moises did the installation which was completed on time and in an exceptionally professional manner. I would highly recommend this company. It was the weekend & I didn't get voice-mail when I called, actually got to speak w/someone. A technician, Richard Moon, called me back within 5 minutes with a couple of suggestions to try to reset my heat. He called me back in 45 minutes & said he would be at my house in 30-45 minutes, as the suggestions didn't work. He was very professional, friendly & courteous. He explained to me what he was checking on my heating unit & was very quick to diagnose the problem. The office called that Monday morning to let me know the cost & that it would be 2-3 days for the part to arrive. With ice in the weather forecast, they arranged to have the part sent over night. I was extremely happy when they called me Tuesday morning to let me know the part was in & could be installed that afternoon. Richard had the part installed & working within 15 minutes. Needless to say, I was very pleased to have my heat back on. :) I will definitely use this company for any future heat/air issues.

I want to take the time to leave a review for this great company. We hired them to install a whole new HVAC system, as ours was on it's last leg at about 22 years old. Mike was the consultant to come to our house, and he was friendly and very knowledgeable. For a large job like this, I normally will take the time to get 2 to 3 quotes to compare. However, I felt very comfortable speaking with Mike, and the pride he had for this company, that I decided on the spot to not go through the trouble of other quotes, and to go with Comfort Master. I'm glad I did. I received a call the day before the work was to begin, to confirm that they would be here. The next morning, Ismael arrived with another installer, introduced himself and gave me his card. He was extremely polite and professional. A couple hours later, an installation supervisor (also very nice) arrived to check in and make sure things were going well (which everything was going very well), and this just showed me how great of a company this is, and how they truely care about their work. Ismael did a fantastic job on our installation... I am extremely pleased with the job that he did. I don't mean to sound overly excited, but it just really makes me happy when I know that this important investment in my home was done by the right group of people. Having the right company do the job makes a world of difference...money well spent. I absolutely recommend Comfort Master. They are an exceptional company. I have a maintenance contract. So, it is done on a yearly basis. It is like for two services during the year both winter/fall and spring. I think they do very good work. They are timely and reasonably priced. Those are the main things. There were no unexpected issues in their last visit. It was pretty routine.

Called Comfort Master as a second opinion. First vendor put in a call to manufacturer, then told us the circuit board was no longer made and would have to be fabricated. Other parts would likely be needed. Total estimate $1800. Comfort Master called the manufacturer and told us the part was still on the shelf. No other parts would be needed. Estimate $430 repair. Had already paid $99 for initial trip to troubleshoot the problem. Comfort Master coupon on Angie's List saved $50. Total cost was $479.

When Greg (Sale's agent) came to our house he was so polite and very knowledgeable about what's been going on. We told him what's been happening, and He helped us on what we needed, Not only that in his NICE clothes when crawled under our house and looked at our ducks. To me that's just a sales guy, the reason why is that he not only looked at what he's going to sell us, but he also gave us choices on what to do instead of saying "this is what you have to do" . Greg is a great sales agent and I so glad we had him for one. I will say I could talk to Greg so much I would! The worker at the front desk Brenda is so sweet I only dealt with her, she is and on the ball with things. I only spoke with her, she knew what's been going on, and had other things on top of it! She always called me if there were issues or questions wright away. To me that's the best, it's commutation that people do not have. I love that she made an effort to do so. They did forget to clean the A.C. units (understandable since it's fall), I will say that Greg did get Eric on the ball and Eric is so great and caring. He did a wonderful job on our house before by the heat, and now the A.C. units. Eric was very personable just made me want to keep talking to him, but of course I needed him to work. Same with Greg too, like I said up above. I'm saving the best for the last!!!! The worker that put the Ducks into our house is the best man ever! He's really nice and if he wanted to he would talk lol, but he stick with his work and focus....it took him two full days and I was so glad he did, who would want to rush something major like taking out old ducks and putting new ones in? I'm glad that he was through-row and tested everything out for us. Oh my goodness, I forgot his name, Call up the place and Brenda will tell you about him. If you need this stuff done to your house, these men/women are the best people you can have!

Everyone I've dealt with has been very professional. Greg was responsive through the estimate process. Jorge did a great job installing the system even in the rain. Very happy with the new system. We believe we got what we needed, nothing more which is what several other vendors/contractors tried to sell us. We have a good plan for what might be done should there be future breakdown of remaining parts of our system. It was negotiated quickly though with ample time for our questions to be addressed. The price was very good. Kudos to Ismael and Jun for excellent work; the Town?s inspector complimented several items that were above what is required by Code. One negative side to the transaction is that we were pressured to provide full payment before the inspections had been passed. See below for our full experience. We had to deal with the failure of 2 HVAC systems within 3 weeks. We knew almost nothing about HVAC at the start. The web is an excellent source of relevant education, though there?s plenty of questionable advice out there (as with any other topic). Not into doing your research? Expect to get fleeced. We had estimates that varied by as much as 2-fold in cost. If you?re not on your game, contractors will sell you just about anything. Some expenses of thousands of dollars may net just a few dozen dollars in savings for just a few months out of the year. It?s typical to have estimates padded with replacement of perfectly good parts, unnecessary supplies, and accessories that add substantially to the bottom line. Really want to get fleeced, if the breakdown occurs during extreme weather (hot or cold), let the vendor know you want it fixed ASAP. We had the opportunity to cope with part of the house sweltering and another part relatively comfortable. With the two breakdowns back to back, it got old but it helped us save thousands of dollars; upwards of $8,000 for the two installations if we only count legitimate estimates. Take all the estimates and we saved over $12,000. We can?t be certain we have chosen the most durable equipment; that kind of data seems completely unavailable. There is enough information out there to learn which equipment is harder to repair. Remember that labor costs are a BIG component of HVAC work. If you have to buy a specially made, hard to find capacitor and it takes a rocket scientist working with a trained mouse to wedge it into a tiny space, you?re looking at several hundred dollars for what might cost less than a hundred dollars to do in a well designed product. AND, watch those servicemen. wait until they finish the entire review of your system and layout what it will cost to fix it. We payed one guy over $100 to fix something marginal on our air handler only to find out, when he went outside, that he suspected all along the compressor was likely the problem and would require replacement. On the whole, we benefitted by?hovering? over the repair and installation technicians. In the course of pleasant conversation, we learned tons about our systems as well as what else was out there on the market. These guys work in blistering heat, freezing cold, spaces so small and unpleasant no one should have to go there, and most people hate them because they?re associated with high expenses they do not understand (not the technicians fault). Most of these guys will appreciate if you show that you?ve made some effort to learn about their trade. They?re the first to tell you it isn?t rocket science, but these guys typically know a lot and are grateful for an opportunity to shine rather than be put down. Really, it?s a win-win for everybody. You save money and get a good education and they get a well-deserved ego boost.

From start to finish, Comfort Master met and exceeded my expectations. The salesman, Greg, was a pleasure to work with. He was friendly, responsive, knowledgeable, thorough, and patient. He was the only estimate provider (and I had quite a few) to actually measure the size of the rooms on the second floor to calculate my air conditioning requirements. At no cost, he also added more refrigerant to my seventeen-year-old dying system to make it bearable for sleeping until the new system could be installed. The installers were prompt, courteous, neat and did an excellent job. Their work passed my town's building inspection with no issues and the inspector even commented on the neatness of the installation. Their clean-up was impeccable as well. Overall, I am very happy that I chose Comfort Master Heating and Air and highly recommend them.

We still use their service. We have an annual maintenance contract with them for the air conditioner and heater for the home. They do a yearly contract and we get two visits for a $150. They have a very good service and great interactions with them.

Our tenant noticed the AC was not cooling. Of course it was a weekend and we were out of town. I thought we would have to wait until Monday morning. I was impressed by everyone at this company. The installers did a good job and cleaned up thoroughly after work was done. Company representatives were helpful and most friendly. They also followed up their installation. Highly recommended.
Description of Work: I had a 14-year old heating and A/C system due for replacement. Contacted this company for an estimate. The response to the request for an estimate was very fast. I ended up getting three estimates overall. This estimate was the lowest and very reasonable. They installed a new Trane XB13 A/C unit and also a new heating system with programmable thermostat and CO detectors.
