We were thrilled with the work that Greg Stone and crew did a few weeks prior... exactly what we asked for. But, then we experienced torrential downpours for several days and the dry river bed was overwhelmed in specific places when the water decided it wanted to take slightly different routes! We contacted Greg again and asked them to address these areas. They did just that, adding rocks as necessary. Now, it's perfect! As anticipated, all went extremely well!
Description of Work: Widen and reroute dry river bed previously installed.

Just happened to catch Greg Stone as he and his crew were doing some work across the street. After we chatted and he took a look at what we needed to have done, we received a timely and reasonable estimate. Although he is located a good distance from our neighborhood, he took the job and scheduled it to fit our needs. It was a lot of work and everything was done very much to our satisfaction. They worked with us on placement of boulders and trees and shrubs and in most cases, if not all, we agreed with their recommendations. In addition to what was requested, they cut down a dead tree that we forgot to put on our list. Greg and his crew were all very personable, professional, and hard working. We would hire them again!
Description of Work: (1) Extend/serpentine the current dry river bed with river rocks (to match current rocks) and landscape fabric to direct drainage to existing natural area ditch. (~ 40’ long x 3’ wide) (2) Place five boulders (min 1 ton ea) at river bed turns or where specified by owner. (3) Plant two holly trees near new river bed area to be located to maximize privacy as noted by owner. (4) Plant (to include soil prep/top soil and brown designer mulch to match existing mulch) three additional 5-7 gal shrubs (to be supplied by us) to area around extended river bed. (5) Clear out weeds and leaves and add mulch to the area between the back fence and the ditch. This area is about 60’ long and about 6-8’ wide. (6) Add rocks to the natural area ditch (larger than the river bed rocks but similar in color; i.e, preferably not the blue rocks). The ditch serpentines at 90’ long and averages about 3’ wide, but there is an area that widens to about 6’. (7) Plant (to include soil prep/top soil and brown designer mulch) eight (5-7 gal) shrubs in area behind rear fence, between fence and ditch. Shrubs to be supplied by us. (8) Move existing irrigation drip lines from the evergreen trees next to the ditch up to the new shrubs next to the fence. (9) Extend current buried 6” corrugated drain pipe from back fence gate an additional 25’ (buried) to natural area ditch. (10) Add 5-6 flagstone steps (minimum 1’ deep x 3’ wide) down the slope at the rear fence gate. (11) Place 7 additional boulders (1/2 to 1 ton ea) in back/side/front yard locations as specified by us.
