W H WILSON TERMITE & PEST SVC

We called two pest control companies regarding our needs--termite bonding (which was recommended by our realtor when buying the house, for re-sale purposes) and general pest control (because we noticed some insects after moving in)--to compare prices and services offered. W.H. Wilson had done the termite inspection for our house when we were buying it and we decided to go with them, even though their initial treatment for the termite bonding was quoted slightly higher than the other company we got an estimate from (McNeely). We just felt like W.H. Wilson was a little more personalized in the service they offered when inspecting our house for the termite bonding quote, and also at their office in explaining services over the phone. Because they had just inspected the house a few months earlier as part of our home inspection when purchasing it, they waived their usual inspection fee for giving us a quote regarding termite bonding. The inspector was very thorough in looking around the house, and also in explaining to me exactly what they'd be doing. The termite technicians who came to do the initial treatment (where they bore holes in the ground around the perimeter of the house) were very polite and efficient, and cleaned up after themselves as much as possible (they had to go into a crawl space through our basement). As far as the general pest control goes, the technician who came to spray for that was friendly and efficient. Since then (about 3 weeks ago) we have seen a number of dead specimens of insects that were giving us problems before--mainly spider crickets in our basement, and a few large roaches that apparently are a common issue in our neighborhood because of trees. So the treatment is definitely killing some insects--however, we have also still seen some live roaches, so if that continues to be a problem we may call Wilson back about doing a re-treatment before our next quarterly spraying. (Our understanding is that if we notice a problem between regular treatments, they will come back and spray free of charge to address the issue). The general pest control prices were basically the same between Wilson and McNeely, although Wilson did also waive the slightly higher initial pest control treatment cost (which I think would have been $95 for the first time instead of the usual $75 for each quarterly treatment thereafter) since we were also using them for our termite treatment.

WE RELY ON THIS COMPANY TO BE ABLE TO FIT US INTO THEIR SCHEDULE. I THINK THEY ARE REASONABLY PRICED FOR OUR AREA. I THINK THAT THEY DO HAVE THEIR CUSTOMERS BEST INTEREST IN MIND.

WE HAVE USED THE COMPANY FOR A LONG TIME. THEY LET US KNOW WHEN THEY ARE COMING AND ALWAYS SHOW UP. WE DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH PESTS, SO THEY ARE DOING THEIR JOB.
