Very simple. Had a simple explanation of a somewhat complex situation. Also gave two choices/repair options and costs estimates.

They were very professional. Were on time and worked hard. Explained all work to be done and made sure we were satisfied with the results.

They really wanted to do it from the inside - catch the water around the perimeter then pump it out into the yard. Very professional presentation, and we actually made a down payment for the $8k project that day. Had a couple weeks to reconsider it, so before any work was done we changed our mind. The system requires tearing out drywall, baseboard, etc along the perimeter walls. Because I have a home office, the project was going to conflict with my work and require an additional 2k+ to actually get back to normal. Salesman was supposed to quote addressing the problem from the exterior but never did. They mailed us a check to reimburse the full down payment we had made. On the fence as to if I would use them again.

When I first made the appointment the person taking the call was extremely polite and professional. I was given an appointment and requested to be added to their cancellation list since I wanted help as soon as possible. I received written confirmation with a very thorough book about what the company can do with regard to problems with structural damage, advanced settling, water proofing and wet crawl spaces. Each contact I had with the company thereafter was very professional and they called in advance to remind me of the appointment, sent me information in advance to fill out so that my time was best spent when the estimator and later the crew arrived. The company EXCEEDED all my expectations and stand head and shoulders above any other foundation company I contacted about doing the work. By the time Will, one of the owners and an engineer, arrived, I had already met with 7 other companies and had paid to get an engineer's report (a NC requirement). Not only did Will treat me with the utmost courtesy and respect, he did an excellent job educating me about the variety of options available. Unlike one of his competitors, he did not try to scare me into a 'one size fits all" approach, and suggested using "push piers" to stabilize the movement rather than the method touted by the other 4 foundation repair companies on Angie's List that I had called. I eliminated all 3 of the chimney repair options due to cost. Not only did the proposed solution make the best sense, it cost less than the bid given me by the other 3 foundation repair companies. Before the crew arrived I got an information packet with their pictures and brief biographies about each. I have NEVER BEFORE felt so well treated by any home repair company in my life. The crew arrived the day we had scheduled despite driving from the heavy snow in the mountains and assured me that they would get the job done to my satisfaction no matter what! I watched them for a while and then went back in the house. Later that day they came to get me to show me what they were encountering. I was warned by Will and again when the crew arrived that in my area they expected to hit bedrock approximately 36 feet down but it could be much deeper. That contingency was also in the written contract. The crew was stunned that the piers were continuing to be pushed down without hitting anything substantial. Long story short it was 66 feet down with some expected additional costs because of the extra depth being outside the original bid but certainly explained in advance and understood. Other companies also had that same caveat. I was AMAZED when my chimney came back to meet the floor in my living room without any damage to my floors and walls. The only "damage" was on my roof around the flashing for the chimney which had been pushed against new shingles leaving them "wavey". I got that flashing fixed and my house was as good as it had been before the movement occured.

They came and gave me an estimate and did the work on my crawl space. They were great from the beginning to the end. I had some sagging floors so they did some foundation repair in the crawl space. From the very beginning he took his time. HE was under the crawl space for a half an hour or more than that even when he came for the estimate. He explained everything to me. They stayed in touch to make sure I was going to have the work done on the day or if they needed to change it. They came in and put in some magic jacks and some steel beams and lifted up the part of the floor where it was unstable and sagging. They sent me a book that got me prepared for when the guy came out to talk to me. They did an excellent job. It was three weeks out before they could do the work. That worked with my schedule anyway. They even offered financing for the job and stuff like that. The guys that came out were very nice. They were here two days and cleaned up after themselves. The staff was wonderful. I had some air ducts that were falling and they put them back up. I would use them again.
