They did a great job, and initially under budget! Jon, the owner was very attentive to and honest about the hours his crew worked. So we continued on with some improvements and mulching. This was a multi-day operation and was carried out professionally and with care. Jon is very responsive and his crew responsible and hard working. My yard looks fabulous!

Good work all around. It took them a few weeks to get it all done but I was not in a hurry. I am sure if I had specified a time frame they would have been faster.

From the beginning this company was difficult to get a hold of to make an appointment. After I finally scheduled the appointment the owner arrived late. After showing him the job he proceed to get into his car and leave. After waiting for over 1 hr. I called and he said he was at the gas station, another 30 minutes later I called again and he said his truck had a dead battery. This guy was a disaster from the get go. He wasted my time and made me never want to use Angies List. The only redeeming thing about this experience was that Angies List refunded my money immediately.

Great! After making initial contact following the purchase of an advertised deal, provider followed up to quickly to assess and schedule the work. Job was completed as promised and met expectations.

They responded immediately to set the appointment and were GREAT at communicating with me regarding service & scheduling. This crew is hard-working, thorough, and dependable. I am extremely pleased with the result and I would definitely hire this company again. I've already recommended them to neighbors.

Very professional and pleasant group to work with. Jon came out the day after we spoke on the phone and I had a written itemized estimate in a week. Jon, Jake, and the rest of the crew were all very friendly and cleaned up after every day which included taking down and putting up fence sections daily. My 3 year old daughter loved watching them through the window and they were even nice to my dogs! We haven't had a big rain yet but I am hopeful that this will take care of my water issues. The patio and wall look fantastic! Price was a little steep but they put in a lot of work over 2-3 weeks and the end result looks amazing.

His crew was very courteous and explained the what they were doing each time I stepped out to ask a question. I thought they did a great job. Johnathan is very easy to deal with. I would use them again. Mother nature, on the other hand, has been a little rough with the ammount of rain she decided to provide.

Jonathan and his team did a very nice job of installing a patio under our deck and walkways extending from it. He definitely had experience in doing this work and that is reflected in the final product. They helped with the design and did a few things the "hard way" when corners probably could have been cut. They also did some drain work to get downspout drainage further from the house. These pop-up drains have worked well. The workers were polite and cleaned up the jobsite nicely. The lawn that was unavoidably damaged during the process was reseeded by them and grew back nicely. It has been over 18 months since the work was done and it still looks great.

Very impressed by Jonathan and his workers. They were professional and friendly. The work was done promptly; when a few small things came up that needed addressing, Jonathan was ready to get things fixed and done. We are already satisfied with our new lawn. Very green grass at 3 weeks - still have few spots but believe it will only take some time. Jonathan is also willing to come back if we have any problems. Would hire him again. Neighbors comment every day on the yard - they love it!

Jon was responsive and professional from the initial free quote until the work was complete. Had 2 great guys working with him that were both equally responsive and professional taking the time to answer any questions my husband or I had during the process. We will definitely use them when the need arises.

We were impressed by Jonathan when we interviewed several providers. He was professional and very responsive. The work was done promptly; when a few small things came up that needed addressing (a couple of bare spots emerged and some grading problems that were not immediately visible), Jonathan came back and expressed his willingness to fix things so that we were satisfied. We certainly are satisfied and are confident that the new lawn, already greener and healthier than it's been since we've moved to this location, is set to thrive for years to come.

I called Jon about options for my back yard which was in poor shape with a crumbling retaining wall and step wall in the middle of the back yard which made it unusable. He proposed removing the step wall, grading the back yard to one level and rebuilding the retaining wall with wider steps. The team came in and did the demolition, cut down 4 trees and removed the stumps.They graded the back yard so it was level and built a retaining wall with stairs. They also planted grass in the back yard. They built a paver patio and walkway to connect to the retaining wall stairs. The weather was a big challenge during this project. We received a lot rain in the fall which delayed the completion of the work. The SLL Team kept at it when weather would allow and completed the project. As the ground settled there were a couple of problems with drainage and the stairs. I called Jon and he came out resolved all of the problems. I was pleased with how the work turned out. The patio, walkway and retaining wall look great and my family is really enjoying our new back yard. I had them come out this spring to remove some additional stumps and smooth out the front yard. Everything turned out great.

Jonathan helped us with a major water problem we were having in our driveway. We were provided with a free estimate for services. He followed up via email/phone calls throughout project which was very appreciated. Jonathan and crew did a great job and we were so pleased with the outcome. Very professional and I will not hesitate to hire for future projects!

Provided free estimate for proposed services. Was punctual. E-mailed written proposal. Scheduled work promptly. Arrived at appointed time to do the work. Kept me informed during all phases of the work. Provided exceptional service and communication. I had advised Jonathan at the time of the estimate that, around 1996, a deceased pet had been buried in the area that would require excavation. He and his backhoe operator were exceedingly careful when excavating the area to minimize disturbing any remains (none were found). The wall is stable, proper drainage has been installed, the sidewalk is level with the yard, and the mulching looks great. My next-door neighbor has commented favorably on the outcome. My expectations were not only met, they were exceeded. I would definitely use this provider again. Also, of multiple estimates I obtained, this was the least costly. One provider stated the wall could not be saved and wanted to replace it ($5000 to $7500, ballpark. I did not obtain a specific proposal as I had received multiple estimates that did not indicate replacing the wall was required). Another wanted to excavate and waterproof the wall in addition to installing a French drain ($4500). All of the providers I contacted are on Angie's List.

EXCELLENT! The best sod that I have ever seen. Great installation including a Japanese maple tree.

Jon is a very nice and very conscientious person. He takes pride in making sure his clients are satisfied with his work. The young man working for him did accidentally cut through plastic drain pipes when doing the edging, but Jon came back right away to tend to that when I saw the cut pipes and called him. I would both hire him for other work and recommend him to others.

Superior Lawn and Landscaping owner Jonathan Branch promptly responded to our call to investigate and provide a solution for an ongoing drainage problem with the gutter and A/C condensation pump drain system on the side of our house that other contractors over the years could not solve long or even short term. During his site visit and after explaining the lack of effectiveness with our existing drainage system and the problems we've encountered with lawn maintenence crews destroying flexible, black drain pipes leading from our downspouts with weed eaters and gutter drain pipe couplers buried four feet underground bursting, he proposed a sensible, cost effective solution that requires little if any maintenance and one that would be easy to repair should a pipe burst in the future. He proposed a hard, PVC pipe running the length of the house with a tight, mechanical coupling to its downspout which was also "weed-eater-proof". This same pipe would also tie into the A/C condensation pump drain which eliminated the splash guard and water run off above ground. Ultimately, this pipe would output the water from a pop up drain at its end of run which is flush with the ground when not draining so it's protected from mower blades. Additionally, his pipe would only be buried a foot or so deep under ground for its full length for easy replacement should some problem arise in the future. The other gutter only had a two foot run and exited out of a stone wall in the rear driveway so it simply needed his weed-eater-proof coupler. His crew arrived with a Ditch Witch on the scheduled day and cleaned up nicely after they sowed new grass once they completed the project. We were amazed by the results of his system the very night the project was completed after an intense storm and downpour came through the neighborhood. Normally we'd find a river of mud and rock in our driveway after a storm like this as more land against the side of the house washed away. Right after the storm subsided I walked that side of the house and checked the driveway and it was simply damp - no mud and no gravel! You could also tell the pop up drain had done its job safely draining the water away from the house. We could not be more pleased with Jonathan's prompt reply with a written proposal and price quote, his crew's work and providing the service he promised and when he promised it. As a matter of fact, we will be contacting him again next year for another landscaping project we're planning.

From starting contact to end of work, it went well. Jonathan was very responsive to come on a Sunday to review what we needed and provide an estimate of cost and work to be done. I thought the estimate was very reasonable for the amount of work to be done. We had 1 rain delay - we cannot control Mother Nature!!!! - but after the rain ended, the day of work, he and his workers showed up promptly. As to the hole in my backyard - it is gone. A small area 12x16 is ready for my veggie garden next year! and the rest of the surrounding area has been redone to fit in with the rest of the yard. I am pleased with Jonathan, his company and his work. I would definitely use his services again.

John and his crew were awesome! His consultation was quick, estimate was on time (and best price), and he was able to come out and get the job done quickly. The results are awesome, and it has transformed our back yard completely. We will be using them in the future because of their professionalism, ideas, price, and all around great experience.

Jonathan and his crew did a great job. I agree with some other reviews that I've read; he is very interested in making sure that you are satisfied with the work. It there is anything you want to tweak here and there at the end of the job he is more than happy to do that for you. My azaleas look great. As requested, they were done by hand and thinned out nicely. He was attentive to make them the height that I wanted. As requested, they are also a bit uneven on the top which makes for a nice look.

Jonathan was very responsive and professional. He knew what needed to be done and made some suggestions for a couple of other things to do to improve the property. He went above and beyond the original request and did not charge extra. He was pleasant, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. I will hire Superior Lawn and Landscaping the next time I need some yard work done.
