Handyman Services was located through a pressure washing special. He did a great job and went the extra mile to meet our expectations. we were very pleased with his professionalism and time spent doing a good job.

Signed up for the "deal" an Angie's List on 6/16 . Waited for the contractor to contact through messages or phone for a week. No contact from contractor as of 6/23 . requested refund. This lack of customer service and not returning calls is pretty common in NC . That was the main reason to try and get a service recommended through Angie's List. Apparently that doesn't work either. As with other work that needs to be done around the house, I'm better off doing it myself.

The handiman service was purchased through a Angie's list special. Response time and willingness to work were good. The light fixture was installed well enough. The closet doors required the wood to be carved out for the hinges. He was not able to complete the job. He came back a couple of days later to complete the job, and realized the replacement doors were too long and ultimately could not be installed. He provided options - either buying new doors or shaving the door down. Because of the "special" I was asked what I wanted him to do . My guess is that this individual would have been better off if he stated what his skills were and offered to do what he does best.

We have been very pleased with Sylvester Robinson's work - which is why we went back to him for another job! He is very thorough and professional. We had some stubborn residue on our siding and he went the extra mile to make sure the job was done right. I will definitely use him again! Strongly recommend!

Absolutely ignored my service order. I do not know how to recoup my money.

My 100+ year old house needed a major exterior paint job and the 14 wood porch columns were cracked and pitted and required a lot of refurbishment before they could be painted. Mr. Robinson took on the job. I had first contacted several other Angie's List ?A? rating painters but they shied away from this difficult work. He looked over every aspect of the job and, once we both agreed on the specifics of the required work, he and his crew hit the ground running. They worked every day and tidied up and the end of each day. He and his team are very accommodating and professional. He met all of my requirements. The house looks great and the work was done correctly. Highly recommended!!

I was called back promptly. Mr Robinson arrived as scheduled and gave me a quote. We scheduled the work and he and his crew started and finished on time. The work was immaculate. I even caught his crew picking up each piece of old paint out of the mulch for discard. They kept everything tidy. The house looks beautiful!

I had bought new shoe molding to go in my kitchen and stained it the color I wanted. I sent a message to the provider that I wanted the handyman to cut and install the shoe molding for me. The handyman arrived on time and removed the old molding, but when he began to cut the new molding, he realized that he did not have the right equipment! He then told me to take the old and new molding to Lowe's (where I had purchased the new molding) and have them cut the new to match the old, and he would come back and install it. Well, I wasn't sure that was going to work, and did not want to take a chance on the new being cut wrong. Anyway, I found out that Lowe's would not cut all that molding anyway, so I really just wasted the $79.00. The handyman told me that the usual handyman was not available and he had been asked to fill in. He was a really nice man and seemed to know what he was doing. He only installed two pieces, and cut them with a hand saw, filling in the gaps, but he thought it should be done more professionally with a different kind of saw, which he did not have. Big disappointment. I believe that the provider should have sent a handyman with the tools to do the proper job! Or at least let me know it was too big a job and refund my money!

Sylvester arrived on time at 10:00 am and worked through without any interruptions. He was finished at 1:00 and rang my bell and had me go out to inspect the finished job. I was so pleased with the way my house looked that I took a few of his business cards to share with friends, family and neighbors. I certainly will be using this this gentleman for future needs. He also provides painting and home maintenance.

We prepaid for the service on March 24, 2014. They gave us three dates to pick when we paid online. Said we should receive a message from the company letting us know when they will come. We never received a message! The 3 days passed and no one ever came. Finally called the owner on 3/29/14 and left message.......till this day NO RESPONSE!! Called Angie's List today for a refund.

Service was purchased thru a Big Deal on Angie's list. $223.00 for $450.00 worth of powering washing. Was contacted within two days of purchase and appointment was set up immediately. Showed up on time, did a great job. Would use again.

The man that came out to clean house was polite and answered all my questions. He arrived on time and worked hard. The house was spotless when he was finished. There was mildew and algae on some of the siding and he cleaned it off completely! I was very satisfied with his work.

We called them and they never returned our call.

It was okay. He was fine. I had to call Angie’s List to ask where he was but then he immediately responded. He came and fixed it and everything is fine.

I am very pleased and recommend his services.

A pleasant, punctual and professional handyman. He kept me apprised of his progress and completed all tasks. I would be happy to have him come again when I have additional work that needs to be done.

He was hited to clean the gutters which he did, and even replaced one of the leaf guards that had blown off and then offered to pressure wash the entire brick structure and deck removing a wasp nest he found in a ceiling fan. So yes he did a good job at a fair price and I would recommend him to anyone.

Made all the other people we had previously employed look like amateurs. They did a professional and miraculous job. They were the lowest bid out of six and did the best work we have ever had done in the house.

I was never contacted by whoever. Contacted Angies List and had to get refund.

Claimed he has no GPS and the Google driving directions he had apparently weren't very easy to follow or read...evidently his ability to follow directions is seriously impaired. His equipment was a small, portable pressure washer, which he had to hook up to my water supply, so the cost of the job didn't include all the water he used. It took forever, but he did a good enough job. I'd never use him again. Was glad he honored the purchase even tho it had expired by a few months, but frankly the price was similar to what a "professional" pressure washer outfit would charge, took longer, and his very tardy arrival didn't impress at all. Too bad we can't know ahead of time what type of outfit we're purchasing a service from.

He was a very nice man who seemed to know a lot about handy work. The first thing he tried to fix the pipe did not work, so he came back about 3 weeks later to fix it again. This time his repair worked. I would hire him again for other jobs, however, I would recommend getting a quote first. I paid $111 for 3 hours with the deal on Angie's List, but he charged me an extra $225. I believe I paid full price (at his regular hourly rate) considering the number of hours it took him to complete. It seemed he charged his regular rate times the number of hours worked and then subtracted the $111 already paid from that. This is not how the "big deal" is supposed to work. My only caution is when you buy big deals for a certain number of hours, it is easy to get taken advantage of. Be sure you have an estimate for the number of hours and the cost for the extra hours up front.

-Excellent quality and professionalism. Knowledgeable in his work and had an interest in what was best for the homeowner as well as advice for some easier self-fixes for some other household problems. A little tardy in responding --probably due to the coupon that was run and a flood of purchases. Would recommend.

It went well, but the work isn’t finished. The work so far has been good.

Very puntual and professional. Very thorough in completing the work. Overall very good job and will use Handyman Services again.
