Hands down the best electrician I've ever met or done business with. Fred right from the beginning was very polite and prompt on all his email correspondences. For the original estimate, Fred arrived 5 minutes early and greeted me with a smile and a handshake. He was very straight forward with his estimate and truly listened to every concern we had and request we made. On installation day, he again arrived right on time and was very professional and courteous. Fred kept a very clean work space and made sure to clean up any mess created from the install. The project was completed in a timely fashion and the final cost was right within his estimate. Two days after the installation, Fred reached out to me to check in to ensure everything was OK. I was extremely impressed by this and all the work he had done for us. I will absolutely be calling Fred again for all of our electrical needs. Thank you Fred!

When I feel right about someone, I?ll often dispense with searching and clawing for a ?better deal?. Fred Schlosser at eWire Electric Company was the first electrician I contacted for this project. After meeting with him and subsequently receiving his concise plan/estimate, I felt right about him. He was hired. The shop now has its own electrical service panel with numerous 120 and 220-volt outlets (placed precisely where I specified). The space is now lit by fifteen 48-inch 2-lamp fluorescent light fixtures which I purchased and installed. The 15 fixtures did, however, need to be wired (correctly and safely) in two separate groups (on two separate switches). Fred secured the necessary town permit and the city inspection was completed quickly, easily and without issue. He worked 2 ? days, arriving when he said he would, working methodically and seemingly without rest. He does excellent work, using only first-rate materials. The cost was well aligned with the work...a good value. I now know precisely who I?ll call the next time I need the services of a professional electrician. Fred is an easy person to recommend enthusiastically.

Fred did an excellent job. He is highly professional and his work is of top quality. While he may not be the most economical, I truly believe that you get what you pay for. I will only be using him to do any other electrical work at the house. He is trustworthy and I had no hesitation in giving him access to the house to finish the job while we went to work. He was willing to work with me to find innovative solutions when needed. For instance, we were able to use a wireless switch to install an exhaust fan in the bathroom instead of running new wires behind the wall which would have been difficult and cost-prohibitive. I would recommend Fred with no reservations.

Fred was great, let me start by saying we will only use him in the future. He walked me through several aspects of the wiring in my house - what to look for in older wiring, what is what, etc. I felt like I was an apprentice: he took no step without explaining what he was doing and why, making sure I could do it in the future. He is an exceptional electrician. Plus Fred is a really friendly guy, so it was an enjoyable afternoon. We sorted out the wiring, put up the fixtures, and then he checked out a another fixture we were having issues with and solved that problem. His price for his work was very, very reasonable. Fred is exactly why I got on Angie's List - I will only choose him as our electrician for any future issues or additions.

I had a bad circuit in an older home with crazy wiring. eWire stayed with the job until they had unscrambled the puzzle and had everything working again. The job was far from straight-forward. They spent many hours doing the work and did it for an excellent price. I definitely will use eWire for all my electrical needs.

I gave Fred my long list of electrical items to be done. He came out to give a free estimate and was able to schedule me right away. He is courteous, honest and does a great job! I'm very satisfied.

We contacted 3 different contractors . Fred was on the higher side (not by much) but we felt very confident he could get the job done after meeting with him the first time. He was extemly responsive to providing an estimate (one company took over one week to get us the estimate), timely in returning phone calls, answered any questions throughly, discussed his plan on approaching the upgrade in depth. In addition, he was honest about our need to have an inspector come out to review the work. We were so happy with his service that we began to tell friends and family immediately how well of a service he provided to us. We intend on using his services in the future for any electrical work we need done at our home.

We contacted Fred for an estimate and he was quick to respond to schedule an appointment. After reviewing our long list of electrical projects, he provided a written estimate for most and advised he would need further review to establish a good estimate for some of the other jobs. We then chose our most urgent projects and scheduled the work, at which time he would be able to do the necessary review of our situation to get firm estimates of the other projects. The majority of all this communication was conveniently handled by email. He was able to do the work within a couple of days of our deciding to go forward. He finished this group of jobs in one day. The heater installation looks great and works just as we had hoped. And the amount of drywall cutting to access the house wiring was kept to an absolute minimum. The access hole was repaired and given an initial mud coat for finishing. It is almost unnoticable as is and will disappear when we sand and paint the spot (also, he kept that hole in the closet so is not really visible anyway.) Even with a crowded circuit box, he was able to add the heater on a separate circuit for safety as he recomended. The other istallations went just as well and the final results of this day's work are just what we wanted. Fred did the work quietly and efficiently. Everything was done just as he had detailed to us both verbally and in writing with the estimate. He emailed the invoice the next day (as we requested) and did not exceed his estimates. We felt his prices to be very fair for the work he provided. Within a week, we scheduled him to come again to complete a few other items on our list of projects. We are VERY happy with the completed work and his professionalism. And, we had some great conversations with him after the work was completed and he was heading out. Great work and a great guy. An overall enjoyable experience as we got the work we wanted and made a friend to boot!

After a very successful job the previous day, we went ahead and scheduled Fred (eWire owner) to come the next day for a few other projects he had estimated for us. Again, most of our communications were conveniently done via email. Fred came early as he had scheduled and got to work right away. The light required a bit of extra wiring and work to make it compatible with the lighting and fan already in place in the bathroom. He was able to get it all in place with no extra access holes required. So once the installation was complete, everything looked as if it were built that way originally. We are very happy with his work. The other installations were pretty basic but, regardless, we are very happy with the results. So, another very successful day of work from Fred. And his fair invoiced prices matched his estimate even with the extra effort required for the light. We have more work to schedule with him. We are very satisfied and don't expect we will be using any other providers for any of our future electrical or lighting needs.

Great!! Fred's work is excellent. He is honest, works hard, and is dependable. We used him twice and were impressed with his technical expertise and how thorough he is with everything he does. He answered all our questions and made appropriate suggestions. We would have him back on our home without reservation.

If you live in the Winston-Salem area and your lights start acting up, this is the person to call hands down. Fred came into our home and in detail told us what he was going to look at and what he thought the problems might be. After checking the lights he told us in detail what needed to be done and how he could fix it. Did anyone know that the fans in the bathrooms have filters? We didn't, but we do now and know that we have to clean them. He did have another appointment to get to, but he went to the store got the parts we needed then returned later and finished the job. We can not say enough good things about Fred. He is professional, kind and very aware of his customers and what they need. He takes the takes the time to explain and show you what he is doing. He is a rare person in this day an age. I hope those who read this use him, you will be so happy you did.

It went very well. Owner came when he said he would, is courteous and knowledgeable, and is willing to explain and give alternatives, all to code. We changed part of the original order on the day he came, and he came back additional hours the next day to complete the last of the entire job. He communicates well by email--an added bonus, considering how little most vendors in this area are willing to use email. His emailed, pdf'd invoice included a breakdown with each job listed by date, name, and cost; and he included a note at the end that summarized an unusual situation he had told me about. I would certainly hire him again.

I can't recommend Fred enough. I have used numerous electricians during our many house renovations and Fred is the best. He is professional, knowledgeable about old houses and their quirks and has a great sense of humor. (a possum skull fell out of a hole he had to drill in our attic ceiling) His prices are very fair and he will do things the way they should be done. Look no further for an excellent electrician!

Fred rearranged his schedule to accommodate our last-minute need for an electrical inspection. He arrived on-time and did a thorough inspection of the home's electrical system. His inspection and the following report were very thorough and he took the time to show me what he saw and explain what was good about the system, what needed to be changed and why. Fred was very courteous and professional and I highly recommend getting in touch with him if you are in need of an electrician.

He totally knew his stuff and his prices were a little lower. He was utterly professional. I had a good handyman come out to do the job and he was totally baffled and couldn't do the job. I was so happy that I found him. I would use him again and I would recommend him. His name was Fred Schlosser. He came out the same day that I called.

I could not be happier with the results. I have an older home that presented a number of challenges due in part to the unusual construction of the house and in part to the house being in a location with rather poor wireless reception. E-Wire took the time to really listen to what my needs were and to design and install a great security system that met those needs. E-Wire is very expert and professional and yet they have a small-town touch and an attention to detail that is so rare in service industries these days. I have rarely had any problems with the system, but when I did e-Wire was very responsive and went the extra mile to get the problem fixed quickly. I also have consulted with e-Wire regarding several electrical improvements I am considering, including the installation of an audio-visual-internet network. E-Wire has been very helpful and knowledgeable in that area as well.

Came abput a week ahead to see scope of job. Came one day ahead to install and run line to point of use (not active) Came in middle of work being done by tub installers to place outlet in correct place. On this vist, he noticed the loose wires in the electrical panel.

He is very good. He is professional and prompt. He did the work quickly. He advised us of any dangerous situations. We got the impression he was very knowledgeable and his prices were good.
